If there’s any substance to it, club just needs to tell them to look at atom Doedee. First round pick, took him over 2 years to get a game and made the most of his chance and hasn’t been dropped this year - never winged about it. all his statements media wise were about how hard he was working to prove he was good enough to get a game.

Just a bit of perspective, it’s all about attitude really, no one is ‘given’ AFL games

They probably wouldn’t have played a game yet if we hadn’t had so many injuries

If they are not happy might as well sell them off and do a total rebuild this year.

That article was the laziest piece of journalism I had seen all year. There was no quotes from any party and just a bunch of circumstantial innuendo.

2 years left on their contracts - if Carlton wants to put a swap of the #1 pick for our 1st rd pick then we can talk otherwise tell them to GOGF.

Carlton can have Brodie if they give us Cripps. Or their number one pick and Murphy for Brodie and a 3rd round pick.

 Funny How quick people can forget

Watching Bulldog game , what can Wallis dalhaus bring to GC , Lyons and Swallow , Miller ,florini can't?
I would take them in a heartbeat and you don't have to give up anything for them

Was an ok return game for Wallis in a very young team with 2 players down at halftime.

Wallis Ended up with 13 disposals 10 contested 6 tackels and 2 goals

Dahlhaus 24 disposals 16 contested 5 clearances 8 score involvements

You are not watching the match. I don't want number or stats , I want good skill , decision making . Players that can show something different from Swallow , Miller . what Wallis offer is the same as Holman and Young before their form dip . As for dalhaus , Lyons and Swallow are doing a better jobs .

Murphy is a UFA anywhere .

Lyons, Swallow and Miller were in our best today and actually outplayed the Hawks mids in most metrics barring possessions. Adding extra inside mids would be good for depth, but you'd want a compelling reason to shift Swallow out of the rotation, although he has played good footy when pushed forward, so he could be like a Jack Ziebell if Dahlhaus was brought in.

I am.just joking about Wallis , no more stupid trade or .FA that are not playing enough AFL game .

I would drop Young and bring Brodie to play inside and start Miller forward. I only watched 1QTR NEAFL today but Brodie was great in my opinion. He also tried to organise team which I never seen him done it before. Lyons got corkie today so may be another opportunity for Brodie.

I would drop Young for Brodie IMO.
Young and Holman are placeholders for Brodie and Scrimshaw, who nearly everybody forgets are only 19 years old. Personally, I think Young and Holman get used out of position to much and appear to underperform, yet they are taking roles that quite frankly, Brodie and Scrimshaw can't even do at NEAFL level. Talent will eventually win out over experience, but for now the B-graders are needed for Dew's purposes. If one or both are dropped, then I'd expect the others to come in for serious consideration. Lonergan seems to have gone alright thought and he has the games behind him to demand consideration too.

We currently have 4 picks in the top 30 in the draft, let’s extract 2 in the top 10 for Lynch and one between 20-30 for Hall and have 7 of the top 30 picks in this so called Super Draft, pick up some Academy Players later on, do a thorough De-Clogging of our list (maybe extract a few more picks) and start again.

We can't go too young. We are the youngest already, we can't get much younger. Of course we need to keep getting top picks but losing Hall and replacing him with an 18 year old won't help anyone. Unfortunately we need a few ordinary mid 20 year olds or 30 year olds to give the new draftees time to develop in the NEAFL.

You can draft ordinary mid 20 years old and 30 years old in the draft with pick 50 + or rookie list , deboer pick 58, Hartung pick 77. They are both with minimum wages. The more draft pick you have in the top 50 the more choice in your Selection .

OK then, swap out Murphy for Kreuzer then. Same result. Carlton are a rabble and their list is barely worth plundering. Perhaps they'd give us Docherty and a 2nd round pick instead?

Played pretty well against collingwood, wouldn’t say a rabble..

I think if we drafted another 7-8 18yos we are certain to finish last and the vicious cycle continues and we become a psuedo nursery which we sought of are atm .

Lonergans biggest issue is he can’t get his body right, soon as he breaks into the senior side he lasts 1 or 2 games and injured

Nobody draft 7-8 18 years old now adays , going into the draft does not mean you draft all of them 18 years old , they could be in mixture age range eg Tim Kelly , Liam Ryan , Flitsh , Luke Ryan , Zac Langdon , deboer , banfield , Guefi , Hartung . A lot of players out there waiting for a chance to get draft with minimum wages to play AFL , including those delisted by their club (second chance ) - better wages in AFL list than state league list .

If you think 4 pick for 18 years old were enough in top 30, you can use other draft pick for delist FA , state league mature age , or rookie upgrade and rerookie .

Their list is not in good shape at all and half the players are out of contract this year. I'd call that a rabble. The Blues are going to be turning over a lot of players again and their best players are getting old.
Collingwood themselves are actually in a similar position and really should be sitting down to lock in their emerging stars instead of fluttering their eyelashes at Tom Lynch, except they are actually hitting their straps despite 9 of today's 22 needing to be resigned this year.

After watching the weekends Metro vs country game if we end up with say pick 2-3 and a compo pick for lynch we need to try and get both Walsh and Smith, would give us the best possible combo of high end talent with both inside and outside class. Both would play round 1 for us and probably be better right now than any of our pure mids on our list. Problem is going to be Brisbane picking Walsh before our pick, really starting to hope they overtake us on the ladder by seasons end

I watched the game too was very impressed with Walsh' skills. Problem is trying to retain the talent long term if he isn't open to playing up in QLD then we would simply be wasting yet another pick. I was impressed with Scott West's son as well smooth mover of the footy. Definitely worth a look if dogs don't have dibs on him.
