Is Bods in jail, is that why we haven't seen him?

I dont follow the draft very closely but looking at that interview with Rankine and watching a bit of tape, he looks amazing. Really powerfully built as well and looks like a proper goal kicker. I hope we get him, we need some x-factor on our list. We currently only have Jack Martin with any sort of x factor.

No more hail mary / cute picks. Just take the best players available. if he is 2nd or 3rd best ffs just draft him and back ourselves to turn in into a gold coaster.

If May Gone - his position can be replace by Sam Day , Sam Day forward position will be vacate for Crossley .

B- Joyce Thompson Harbrow
HB- Ah Chee Sam Day Scrimshaw /Wigg / ballard Hebron/Leslie /potential in - Sam Collins ,Koenan ,Graham etc
C- Martin Swallow L Weller ( Potential in - Miles , Marlion Pickett )
HF - N Holman B Crossley Sexton
F - B sheer , Bowes , Young ( Potential in Lukosius, Rankine )
Follower Witts Florini Miller
Interchange :Lemmann/McPherson , J Lyons ,Risca , Dawson /Nutting .
potential in (DFA , Mature age , Academy players , players that are best 25 in other teams that want to come (eg Ellis ,Llyod ).

Early days for this, but I like the direction you are going in. It is kind of a depth chart. Here's mine, obviously subject to change dramatically.

KPD - Thompson, May, Leslie, (Koenen, Graham)
Back pockets - Harbrow, Joyce, Hanley, Heron, Dawson
Halfbacks - Ballard, Scrimshaw, Nutting, Wigg, Rischitelli*
Inside Mids - Swallow, Miller, Lyons, Brodie, Ainsworth, Lonergan, Scheer
Outside Mids - Fiorini, Weller, Bowes, Holman, Kolodjashnij, Hall, Schoenfeld (Scott)
KPF - Wright, Day, Crossley, Young, (Lukosius)
Small forwards - MacPherson, Sexton, Martin, Ah Chee, Lemmens, Powell, (Rankine)
Rucks - Witts, Nicholls, [Wright, Day, Crossley, Leslie]
Gone - Lynch, Rosa, Barlow, Jaska, Spencer, Willis, Rischitelli*

Areas of need - KPD, KPF, Inside Mids
Players in Bold - Top 22
Players in brackets - (projected picks)
Players in squared brackets - [order of ruckmen]
Players in blue - on the bubble for trade/delisting

  • This scenario leaves 3 Cat A and 1 Cat B Rookie spots = opportunity to draft mature age rookies an Academy players
  • With no further delistings and the 5 Draft picks the Senior list will be filled.
  • Every further delisting/trade requires an extra draft pick or traded in player
  • Projections based on Suns having picks #2, #3, #18, #26, #29, #38, #41, #74

Quite fun to put together best 22 for round 1, 2019. I struggle with many positions. Day could start forward, Leslie in back, Lukosius on flank. Hoping Scrimshaw will crack best 22. I love Crossley but he needs at least 2 preseasons to be truly a beast. Right now he is running on empty tank after half.

I believe, if we can get performance and rehab right and with normal schedule we should be quite competitive. Agressive pressure style for longer with better skills should work.

B Joyce Thompson Harbrow
HB Hanley Day Ballard
C Weller Miller Fiorini
HF Martin Lukosius? Sexton
F Ainsworth Wright Macpherson
Fol Brodie Witts Swallow
I/C Pickett?, Ah Chee, Bowes, Rankine?

Depth: Powell, Holman, Scrimshaw, Heron, Leslie, Wigg, Lemmens, Graham?, Koenen?, Scott?, Young, Crossley, Dawson, Collins?, Nutting, Scheer, Nicholls, Schoenfeld, rookies (Rischitelli, Lonergan?, KK?, Baru?, ...)

A few presumptuous omissions, although I like some of the INs.

I went with Crossley with the thought of him playing 75% game time, allowing Witts to rest on the bench for longer without disrupting the 2 KPDs or 2KPFs. Also, sending Wright and Day up each wing and leaving Crossley in forward 50 when Witts is on the field. Look at Richmond's height in Defence and how they were able to free up Caddy in the forward line, who might have bagged 5 but importantly brought it to ground and the Tigers smalls did the rest. That was literally the difference between the teams, Tigers outmarking the Hawks and all those piddly scrubby goals on the ground or runnning into goal.

Not to my knowledge mate

I think Tom Tate is keeping him quiet, I'm getting a crew together to bust him out of Numinbah Correctional Centre, you in?

Players I hope GC can get in this trade period .

1) Jarred Roughead - as utility he can play Forward , Ruck and halfback . (2 years contract )
2) Hugh goddard - good friend with Lachie, back up KPD . (1 years contract )

As you posted that I was literally leaving BCC

Have they got him in Brisbane instead? That Tom Tate is a crafty bugger!

I only work just down the road from there so may have to go it alone. In saying that, I might stop spamming this thread and start a campaign to free Bods.

Tate will be Home Detention if he goes down for anything.
I like Tommy Tate he gets things done.

The Gold Coast is great because of Tom Tate

(That's a rhyme)

I think we should:
draft good players
trade out players who don't want to be here
trade or delist players who are not good enough or not worth the $
pay players who are good and are worth the $

Vote for me for poster of the year and I will do everything in my power (nothing) to make these things come true.
Next year, I will say the same things but in a different way.

I dont follow the draft very closely but looking at that interview with Rankine and watching a bit of tape, he looks amazing. Really powerfully built as well and looks like a proper goal kicker. There is absolutely no doubting Rankine is quality and will become a 250 game player, If the suns believe he is open to coming and staying - Its a no brainer and you must take him.

Kid is a class act on the field

If we could get quality players back I would say yes but we can't have half team draftees.
I agree we should get best possible value, but a draftee or academy kid that wants to be here is better than an experienced player sulking around and pulling the whole team down.

Our team stinks, our team morale stinks with those players in the team and the media knows it.

Burn the joint to the ground and start from scratch - we can’t get any worse than we are now.

Respect your opinion but I don't think it's so bad at all.

There is a lot of talent on our list. E.g. Brodie, Bowes, Fiorini, Ballard, Wright, Ainsworth showed enough to make me looking forward for next year. Our best 22 is actually pretty good.

Nobody in the press mentioned our injury list. Again arguably the worst in the competition. The question should be asked, why? Most teams would be crap with the same list and travel schedule. How did WB, Crows, Carlton go or even GWS midseason when injures bit them? The only exception was Pies with exceptional depth in midfield.

Hopefully this off season changes at performance dept, new assistant coaches, boosting welfare/development will finish the reset of the club. Normal schedule with no stupid China trip will help too. Young players will have another preseason. We had the youngest list and we do need mature players to protect young ones. You don't want them physically damaged or get belted 100+ points every week.

May has a right to take next year to decide. He will just not be the captain. It's silly in my opinion to ask players with one year left on their contract - extend now or piss off.

I think your point are fair , but team need to adapt to injuries , the thing I don't like about May staying are you build you team chemistry with him in your team and If May decided to go as RFA , your back six need to reboot again in 2020 . Is like you keep building you team chemistry every year .
