I'm kinda hoping the Dees win the flag this year, just to give us clearly the longest active drought in the comp. Obviously I'm a masochist.

WTf is wrong with you man?

Briggs is doing the dream time pregame song. The AFL are brave, he's political as ****. Pat Dodson too. Awesome.

No I agree, I have had enough of us dancing around it, let's OWN being the worst and then rise up.

Aussie, man, that's mental, it's like being the small skinny kid with glasses waiting in the line up to picked in a school yard game. Melbourne are the corpulent special needs kid that are the only thing keeping our fragile self esteem together.

Two things.

1. When did Bernie Sanders start working for Essendon?

2. A variation of this design would make a great Saints top of some kind.

Dunno where the Bombers get off getting all that white stuff on their shirts on a Saturday night but I bet it's not the first time. 597686-tlslargeportrait.jpg

* Breaking news* from Jon Ralph....

Is Brownlow medallist Fyfe in strife for a raised elbow against a Pies player?
( Already using the example when Hawks Tom Mitchell got off for a raised elbow behind play some weeks ago.)

Don't worry your little head about it Ralphie, golden boy is sure to get off. What this little elbow? No case to answer.

An 85 point home hammering for Gold Coast. Horrendous.

I hope these sorts of heavy defeats to the spot light of us a bit. Also the bombers yesterday.

The footy fraternity overall thinks we are 'that bad' but funnily enough we havnt had any really heavy defeats!

LOL.
Stevo on #7 just said he should get off with a fine.

Now imagine that was Jake Carlisle's errant elbow!

You are kidding! If he gets off its an absolute travesty.....yet again.
It's this kind of thing that is responsible for people turning away from the game I think.
All clubs (players) are equal, but some are more equal than others.*

Mate, just quoting Stevo on the tv. Thats what he said.

I'd be bleeding like all Saints supporters if Fyfe got off yet again. AFL so predictable. Brownlow fav's get a last last last chance then some more last chances.

That's the thing Punter...… given how bad.....no...diabolically we have been playing until the last few weeks.....we haven't been hammered multiple times as you would have expected us to be.

Many were highlighting our really hard draw...… so the expectation was for multiple thumpings……60/70 or more points especially with players going down like 9 pins each week.

We have just played the top 2 teams in consecutive weeks.

We lost to the Tigers by 28 and last night by 13 … both on their home decks.

The more you think about it the more amazing it seems.

Something somewhere is going right.

On ABC Grandstand this afternoon they had a very interesting interview with the Brisbane High Performance guy.
The High Performance stuff was not as interesting as his match day role.

Which is:
He is in charge of the Brisbane interchange iPad.
He is on the bench and works with three others:
The Bench Coach (and Mids Coach) - Ben Hudson from the Bulldogs and,
The two medicos.

The Brisbane interchange works as follows:

The game plan and personnel are established early in the week.
From that they pre-schedule the rotations: who and when.
The rotation schedule is based on the strategic direction of the game plan (who plays what role, for how long) and any injury concerns (if a player is carrying a tender hammy for example).
On Game Day, the schedule provides the guide for rotations but the players are constantly monitored via GPS for distance travelled and number of speed bursts (defined as burst at pace > 2.3seconds).
If a player hits the red line for either, the four (Bench Coach, High Performance Manager and the two medicos) discuss and alter to suit.
The example he gave was a player with a tender hammy that had a red line of no greater than two speed bursts per rotation. If the player hit that red line early, he would be rotated out and rested.

He emphasised the point that the interchange rotations, though pre-scheduled, are entirely data driven.

Which I find fascinating.

And also leads me to conclude that anyone on here talking about rotations, or tanks, really has NFI.

Fyfe was just brushing Greenwood's hair..
Like with Carlisle it's all just a simple little accident..
And Greenwood got up & played on..
Like in his Brownlow year when reported 3 times..there all little accidents..Nothing to see here..!!
Fyfe would never intentionally look to hurt an opponent..
:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
