Think Christian backed into a corner.
Its still a farce!

But your honour, we posit to the jury that Fyfe is simply a clumsy bastard who, upon seeing that there was another man as far as he, jumped with joy, then came upon a big fright that the jumper was wrong, and instead of a hug of camaraderie, he recoiled in terror.

Ergo, it was Levi's fault for not swooning at Fyfes golden locks.

I don't think Petracca gets much better than he already is. He may get more consistent in elements of his game but not better. In my opinion it's his work at ground level that will define him in the long run. It's just not his nature to put his head over the ball consistently and with Oliver (who is number 1 in the league for ground ball gets) and Viney in the team, I bet Petracca never feels the need or gets the impetus to improve in that area.

Poor mans Dustin Martin.
I drafted Petracca in my Supercoach Draft league , and I have watched him very closely because of that. He has been ordinary all year , and he is particularly lazy. I also think he is too heavy. Petracca escapes criticism from the media too , and that kills me given what Paddy cops. Petracca is my weakest player , but at least I had the sense to draft Oliver and Tom McDonald from Melbourne.

Lost complete faith in the MRP process.

A really interesting article about how the game is trending and how AFL clubs are looking at other sports to gain a tactical advantage.

MAke a lot of sense to me with regards to playing percentages and minimising turn overs...

Go long or go home: How NBA tactics are changing how, or where, AFL teams kick for goal

On first view it is perhaps hard to imagine game plans from the NBA being easily transferable to the wide expanses of an AFL oval.

And yet a recent trend for some teams to encourage their players to launch more long bombs on goal may well have its roots on the hard courts of the US.

The same statistical analysis that has made three pointers in basketball the vogue go to shot is being deployed to inform contemporary footy wisdom.

Buddy Franklin and LeBron James may have more in common than just their physically imposing physiques.

The little man bunned Nancy copped a week.

Should have got two for kneeing the weak dog

Agree Joff. If he was a nobody he'd have received 2 or more weeks for the high elbow on top of the same for the knee.
Blessed campaigner as brownlow fav and golden boy.
Just another inequity in our great game

It changed the way I viewed the afl as a whole. For the first time in my life I legitimately agreed it was corrupt. I couldn’t believe that sentence.
Yes and compare the Bakes SJ incident to Roo at Brisbane & the Scott brothers

2009 GF maintains the end margin is 12 points, 68 v 80 despite clear vision and subsequently rule revisions which state that the actual margin should be rewritten as 11.9.75 v 9.14.68 & 7 points. An error of score keeping.

The last match to have the result changed did so because of a time keeping error.

Neither of these cases is the fault of either team in these matches.
Both of these cases is the fault of people employed in a part time instance by the AFL to fulfill a function.

As of 2017 the AFL employed 2 full time umpires.

Law of averages mandates that the umpires screw the pooch, yet they are above reproach, rules are changed to allow them more freedom to interpret and enact.

The fact that people had confidence to begin with is surprising, I always assumed that the consensus was the game was great and the people in high vis were irrelevant fops trying to feel important in their side jobs for the obvious "you just punched a bloke" deals.

Then the Commission empower the part timers and we have the slow demise of AFL footy since the brand was changed from VFL.

If you can Ladies and Gents buy a MND beanie every little donation counts

Yeah I had an uncle who played reserves for Carlton and he was a big solid sportsman, worked as a scientist and he got diagnosed with MND in his 40s, with in two years he was dead but not until it took all his dignity and left him cognisant but robbed of all mobility and communication. It's a truely ****ed disease. Anything they can do to end it is money well spent.

Some people hold out for a lot longer, hopefully he can beat it longer than the average. My cousin ended up a scientist too and works in cancer research after he decided he wanted to do something to beat the ****er. His aim is to eventually move over to MND research but it's still pretty under funded so not many positions available. The Freeze MND is a good way to get more money into it's research. Anything that gets people to focus on it helps too, it will get research money sent across.

Every contest that he’s involved in he should be pinged for holding than man. He’d get away with murder

Riewoldt tried to out-stage Rance too. Apparently he was too dumb to do the concussion test according to one of his team mates on radio. He misread the instructions and failed even though Jake didn't concuss him. Richmond have become the most painful team in the AFL. Every day they have fans ringing in wanting them talked up more.
