The question is, who don’t we want to lose?
And this looks like one of those rare years where no senior coachks head is on the chopping block.
My concerns with losing Greaves is he is the only one with a teaching degree.Richardson or Bolton probably the most likely, but even then, don’t think any Port assistants would be in line for a call up.
I would give Cornes, Bassett and Lade another year. Not sure what Hentschel, Greaves, Thompson or Nicks have achieved. Voss can go.
Happy for Lokan to get another, hasn’t really had the team this year in the SANFL due to AFL injuries and selections.
Need a senior tactician, someone to support Ken on game days.
Nicks sounds like he is looking for other opportunities, which would be a positive for both the club and him.
Schofield coming into the replace Voss would be ideal.
Would also look at bringing in Bamford in a development role and give the Maggies back to Chad.
Yep we won't say anything until we get kicked out of finals and unless we get a sacked senior coach on board, any decent assistant is going to be involved in September action, and so we won't announce them coming to us until both their existing club, and us, are kicked out of finals action.I doubt we will announce anything until after finals, if would only be detrimental before that. I believe people will be happy with the outs, but who the ins are is pretty highly guarded as I suspect much is still in play.
I truly don't understand the title of this thread.
all assistant coaches have to be told soon if they are staying at the club or not .. so they can plan for their future …

If you're about to go into a fight, who do you want on your side? Someone who has read a book on boxing or someone who has actually been in a rumble? As someone studying teaching, degrees are predominantly teaching how2lookat curriculum rather than how to actually teach. If you want the benefits of a teacher, need someone who has field experience.
Agree! In fact, contrary to popular belief having any degree doesn't make you intelligent it just makes you knowledgeable. Intelligence is a completely different matter.Having a teaching degree does not make you a good teacher, you need only cast your minds to your school or uni days to know that.
