Well that's great news, do U have a source? But I don't see what one has to do with the other. I want to redraft Martin (dependent on contract details) whether Luko signs or not..
I've heard Martin will get to Carlton and Luko should be done next week, I think announcing the key signings before trade week ie Ben King and draft night (hopefully Luko) is a smart tactic by the club, obviously gets more media attention at these times and also distracts from things like Martin leaving for nothing. You have to think maybe these guys are locked in well before the club announces them and the club waits to get optimal coverage?

"It would be a massive honour to go pick No.1. I've worked reasonably hard to give myself a chance to get where I am now, so it would be something that I've worked hard towards for a while," he said.

"If I was lucky enough to get picked up by the Suns I'd really enjoy it.

"The interviews I've had with them have been very positive, they've involved my family really well and that's a big thing for me. I think I'd enjoy the opportunity and take it head on."

Can not contain my excitement about Rowell and Anderson being drafted by us, they are both game changers and walk up best 22 starters. They are going to be so influential in our team. Rowell’s competitive nature can not be matched by anyone.

Suns will announce Luko deal next week, once that's done we wont even be talking about Jack leaving.
I have been told the same except that I was told it will be SOON no actual specific time frame. But it is happening.
SO I'M TOLD.

OK was typing that post when all the news. So it looks like it was EXTREMELY SOON.
The Club is very lucky with Luko and King. Very mature and resilient young men. Absolutely perfect to mould a Club around.

Some great quotes from Luko in the Herald article. Looking forward to play long-term with King, also Luko and other players are exited to have Dew as a coach.
“I went to Europe with my family and then back to Adelaide for my break and it was good to be home but I only really had eyes for the Gold Coast.

“I really want to be a versatile player but I would like to eventually settle as a forward playing alongside Ben. It’s exciting to think about playing with him.
“We both want to develop together and we could be building something pretty special. We have some good mids developing too and I can’t see why we can’t take the league on for a long time.”

“It’s a great lifestyle here and all the players have brought in. All the leaders signed on late last year and that set the tone for us and all the boys are really excited about what can happen in the next few years.”
