LOL!

I reckon Billings will be a good POD next year.

He will get played more as a mid now but hardly anyone will pick him due to being so burnt from owning him this year.

Can easily see Billings averaging 95 + next season.

Don't..... please don't!

Harrison Himmelberg (2018 Def) Season average 70.8

From Rd12 (10 game average 92) will probably be a SC Forward in 2019 (maybe even B/F)

HH.JPG

With Patton unavailable until the back half of next year at the earliest and Lobb playing ruck hopefully, HH might be a decent Rd1 swingman breakout contender if he gets B/F DPP priced at 71ppg

IF Tom Lynch ends up at a club who can kick the ball to his advantage and has an uninterrupted pre-season he could be worth considering.
Priced mid 70's
Surely would average 90+

Averaged 93 in 2016 when he won 6 games and had a percentage of 78.
In the 6 wins averaged 112.
Will kick 100 goals at the Tiges next year.

Park him at FF and let Jack play higher up the ground like Richo did in his later years.

Don't know how it works exactly.
He's average 78 this year, played less than 10 games so might get some kind of discount.
About 380-420k?
Multiply the average by around 5.4, gets you around 428k, then apply the discount. Magic number dips during year, but starts out at around 5.4 (or has in the past).

On the discounts, don't think they're fully predictable / transparent.
Reckon they sometimes don't apply discounts they could / probably should to blokes who would then become automatic selections and lower starting squad diversity.

I calculated it to be about 240k a few weeks ago.

Too good to pass up at that price if he’s at a new club

Would you be taking him as R2 or 3?
I'd love to take him as R2 but if he's a bust there's not going to be many options to jump too, unless there's a decent R/F.
240k is a lot to have on the bench.

If he does go elsewhere and has a big preseason then you'd think he's like Nank last year. I'd take him at R2 & spend the $$$ elsewhere. Gawn & Grundy will eat up $1.2m. He'll rise in price and then trade him up to them later.
Otherwise at R3 as a luxury. There won't be too many years where Grundy and Gawn play all 22.

Braydon Preuss will be a starter at another club next year. Any idea on a price if he's $327K this year and doesn't play a game?
Pure guess, but he"d be one of those who could cop 30% like McKernan did this year off three games at 80 in 2017. That would see him at 230k and highly owned if he looks like getting a crack.
But O'Meara played 6 under some duress at 64 in 2017 and only copped 10%, I think.
Never been able to figure out the criteria tbh.

I would pick him as R2.

If he’s a bust I’d trade a premo down to a rookie on another line, and trade pruess up to a premium. I always seem to have a couple of shocking picks that I quickly realise won’t work out. Ie this year I had McDonald, Daniher and savage, so there will usually always be somebody that I’ve backed in to have a big year that fails to fire, and needs to be traded out.

Nank had the added bonus of being a DPP tho.
Pruess has only kicked like 6 goals in the VFL this season so he won't have that luxury.

Having him R3 would also clog up the most regular C loophole spot.

I'm definitely starting with Gawn and Grundy.

Not missing out on Grundy again by not picking him and watching him dominate every week while I am stuck with some honest battler like Nank. :drunk::thumbsu:
I'll start with one .....but too many $$$ to waste on 2 premo ruckman ......I'll take a good value ruckman & then put those $$ into a premo midfielder

Again injuries .....you going to be trading ruckmen in & out .....we were lucky this year with Ruck injuries

Have to see who’s running at what price, DPP options etc., but not having Grundy has had me 40 behind from the word go on the run home to a lot of opponents, which is a heap to make up.

I just don't want the headaches again of not starting with the 2 best rucks.

Gawn and Grundy, set and forget. :moustache::thumbsu:

I will just build my team around them and Laird, Lloyd, Docherty, Mitchell, Macrae, Fyfe, Merrett and M.Crouch (last 2 are good value mid premo picks imo which will end up as my M7 and M8)

One of Grundy or Gawn will have an injury plagued year and those that have him will be plotting for 2020 by the byes.

Will you choose wisely?
