everyone wants to watch a winning team, is it too much to ask the club do everything they can to ensure that is what happens?
Seriously have you watched us the last 5 years.
Even F7 can't wait to break the shackles and play how he wants.
No wonder he is so keen on this Xfactor BS

Sorry, but are you kidding? The injury is about as severe as a blister according to Nat, but even then its totally his call. What did you expect them to do. Tell Nat that sorry we've had a few emails from supporters concerned about injury so we've decided to reconsider and go against the club doctors opinion so you cant play. Seriously get a grip. So far this preseason we've had sightings of players buying alcohol. Supporters wanting harley fired because a group he was with had some loud people with him who got kicked out from a hotel on new years eve. Players are entitled to a life and to make their own decisions n life FFS.
You left out Hogan lying down in a public place. Club and playing group are out of control.

Thanks for that. I am an uber-worrier. Good to get some perspective.

Speaking of perspective, he’s the skipper’s thoughts.

“My elbow is fine, absolutely fine. I put it in the category of a blister or a broken toenail, there's nothing wrong with it," Fyfe said.

"AFLX will likely be a non-contact style of play because it's so quick.

"Tomorrow we'll (Fremantle) go out and do a 40-minute team training component where there's maximum tackling and pressure.

"There's more risk of me getting injured in regular pre-season team training, than there is in AFLX."

The only thing I didn’t like about Fyfe’s dialog about AFLX, was he mentioned he’d be encouraging players to take pings from outside 50. Where in normal play it’s not the thing to do because defensively it leaves you exposed. With the new kick in rule, you may as well take the shot. Because it’s going to rebound down the other end regardless of structure.

I must admit I don’t really like the new kick in rule as it’s removing something that’s remotely traditional away from the game.

Having said that is it actually going to make any other difference whatsoever? Barely if at all I would’ve thought. Teams might get an extra 10-20 metres max.

Guys he has an olecranon bursitis, biggest risk is infection. Not sure that’d change much between AFLX, training or just hanging around.

Given the field is egg shaped, makes a massive difference. It’s a huge amount of extra square metres to cover. If the rebounding player can wrong foot the man on the 20m mark he could send the ball to the wing. Lucky we got Nathan Wilson.

Wrong foot plus a timely Shepard, equals a 100m play... alas it’s not been practiced

He's more likely to do an acl playing AFLx than he is in not playing aflx.

I think it will make a huge diffence, will stop the crap kick to the back pocket and then down the line for 50/50 out of bounds. Teams with speed in the midfield will open up other teams through the middle. There will be less congestion and it will suit us with players like Wilson and Ryan with who have great kicking skills. It will be huge for us and Ross will be forced to be more attacking

How many footy players have done an acl playing AFLX?
Compare that to how many have done an acl not playing AFLX.

Your statement is obviously and demonstrably wrong.

Did anyone actually watch AFLX last year?? The whole sport is completely uncontested.

If you're worried about AFLX I bet you wouldn't like watching how hard Banfield tackles during training or how hard Logue throws himself at our forwards in match sims.

Respectfully, I actually think it's the best one. Teams have become too good at locking in the ball using team defence. This will allow a kick-in expert to be alot more cretive to get the ball out.

The better analogy would be AFLX to the NBA All-Star game. How many players get injured in the All-Star game? How much defending is there in the All-Star game? None. It's just a platform for the best players to show off their skills.

Geez some people are a bit precious in here.

Match sims on atm...Hogan out there. Banfield busy (few chances up forward) as is Logue (long kicks and runs from defence) and Darcy (good around the ground linking up and winning his share of hitouts) . Windy as but boys attacking it hard. Sturt running with Fyfe a bit. Hogan moving well and creative handballs opening up opportunities. Dixon very busy around the wings. Hamling is a wall and channeling Luke Mcfar in looks from afar as well as playing style. Brayshaw is silky...beautiful passes inside 50 and around the ground. Teams being mixed up each quarter....low scoring.

Is Sonny out there?

I reckon watching Sturt trying to tackle someone like Fyfe would be hilarious, would literally bounce off
