TazHawk15 strikes me as someone that's from the baby bust or Boomer era that thinks we'll continue to win flags because that's what we've done all his lifetime, and despite horrific recent list management decisions it won't impact us " because we're Hawthorn and wining premierships is what we do ".

We all know the state of our list that’s what happens when you have won a 3 Peat, it’s the way the Comp works.

You just seem to take delight in ramming the “Doom and Gloom” down our throats constantly.

Maybe so but I’d find it hard giving a second chance to a young fella that whipped this young girl with his belt until she cried. IDGAF how talented he is and the reality is he’d have to do something pretty spectacular to change people’s perception of him. Teams won’t want to go near him because being a woman basher is a sponsors worse nightmare and this is now a stain the kid will have to live with for the rest of his career / life.

Curiously asking if he wasn’t a decent footballer would you be going out on a limb to say he deserves a second chance?

Also whipped her with his belt until she cried. She apparently instigated it as she was hitting him after finding Snapchat messages to another bird on his phone. Still the fact that he whipped her with a belt makes me sick to my stomach thinking about it. Imagine how lacking in morals you have to be to whip another human being with a belt. That is just f**ked up in my book.

If it was an out of character action ( I don't know him personally so that's hard for me to say ) I'd say any young bloke deserves a 2nd chance. A lot depends if this was out of character and how remorseful and keen to atone they're.

That’s not out of character, that’s a kid with issues. I’m all for defending yourself if a woman hits you but by PUSHING Her away not bashing her. He took it way too far. I can’t see a club ever going near him ever again. He has ruined his life it’s on him.

So, none of our delisted players have gotten an opportunity elsewhere, like Jones or Walker, despite the outrage when delisted.

Can’t they still be signed after draft? I’m assuming clubs are waiting till after the draft. Walker probably won’t but jones has a decent chance as a solid mid depth player.

No shock really, we could have delisted another 5 on our list that wouldn't have got picked up elsewhere either.

Possibly, but the point is about our delistings.

If they don't get picked up by other clubs, that's usually a good indicator that the club has made the right call in cutting them, despite the uproar from posters.

They can, but gee it doesn't bode well for them if they're not selected during 2 DFA windows and then clubs want to look at a heavily compromised draft prior to thinking about picking them up.

Yeah the covid situation with list sizes and salary cap probably doesn’t help any of the delisted players. blokes like Ed Phillips , jones and Matthew parker are good enough to be on afl lists.

Pretty sure Parker has signed to play in the WAFL. I’m sure he’s have an out clause if an AFL club came knocking though.
