Pouring me a beer... I actually had him back until I shuffled the deck and forgot to put him back in. I’m inclined to run him off a HFF as he has a low trajectory kick.Where is Impey?

I think finding good contributors not getting an opportunity is just as important as it is finding them in the Draft.Peter Wright is not a bad player, but we really need to invest in the draft and find a new core group of players to build around. For that reason I'd really like us us to keep all our picks unless we are trading to improve our draft position.
This draft looks good for key position prospects and I'd like us to take advantage of that.
My wish is for us to upgrade the 2nd round selection we received from North and get another first rounder.
Perhaps we trade a player & Norths 2nd round pick for Carltons first round pick? Something like that, purely hypothetical of course.
Fair enough but currently we have 2 ruckmen, the can rotate in fwd line, TOB/Patton can probably do that too. It will provide competition for spots. I think as others have said, not ideal to have two ruckmen, probably a ruckmen and TOB might be sufficient.I think finding good contributors not getting an opportunity is just as important as it is finding them in the Draft.
If we were to target a Wright (i am not sold on him) it would cost very little asset wise and if you can get a 150 game best 22 player for that you have got a steal. Can Wright be that? Not sure but it is worth pursuing.
Yes, that sounds logical, unless find Impey/Schrimshaw type of deal that can fill out gaps too.I don't rate Peter Wright as a player either
We already paying for the Patton salary dump, I really don't want another one of those. Plus who knows we may pick up a gun forward in next years draft?
We have holes on our list everywhere and I honestly think we just need to invest in the draft first.
Once we have a good young core of players to build around, then we can start filling in the gaps with players from other clubs.

That is fair enough in not rating Wright but with that same line of thinking we miss out on Scrimshaw, Frost types.I don't rate Peter Wright as a player either

Pick 3, 21 & Downie this year and a likely top 4 and early 20s again next year might be enough. If we select wisely.I really hope our rebuild only takes 2 drafts, but my gut feel is that it may take 4-5 drafts.
Gallucci is definitely a player type that suits our list needs, whether he can put it together remains to be seen. Certainly someone I’d be keen on.
same with Witherden but I don’t think Brisbane will let him go lightly.
You keep saying this but it isn't correctRelieved to hear that we cannot trade pick 3 due to us off loading multiple first round picks in recent years.
There’s been some positive reports regarding the development of Kosi, Reeves and Jeka also this year.Pick 3, 21 & Downie this year and a likely top 4 and early 20s again next year might be enough. If we select wisely.
Add Finn and Day and that is seven top 25 picks.
Our team in 2023 could be
Scrimshaw Draft Hardwick
Day Frost Greaves
Downie Mitchell Impey
JOM Draft Wingard
Gunston Draft Draft
Trade Maginness Worpel
We need to draft two speedy mids and two KPPs the next two years. Then trade for a ruckman.

As I posted we will also have high draft picks next year. Could be 2 & 20.Pick 3, 21 and Downie isn't enough to re-build our list.
All you have to do is ask the league for permission. They allowed geelong to trade theirs a few years ago, can’t see it being any different for us. But we won’t be trading it unless it’s an extremely good deal I would thinkTwo Victorian powerhouses barred from trading their first round picks in 2020
AFL rules will handicap three teams in the upcoming trade period.www.sen.com.au
