Gonna go out a most likely a massive reach but has anyone considered Cam Rayner? Supposedly looked great in the suns v lions scratch match, fitness level right up. More midfield minutes this year?

Any reason he went backwards last year?
Played predominantly as a forward & without a huge amount of speed or fitness base was pretty easily accounted for by defenders that were on him. If he gets more midfield minutes then he will definitely score a lot more, not sure how he will get enough midfield minutes though.

Can any Port fans provide any info on Ebert? Started last year in great form but then his scores dropped off a cliff after his injury. I assume that was down to a role change? Any suggestions on his role for 2020? I feel he’s really flying under the radar as a forward who could go back the midfield.

Sell me on Greenwood? 10% ownership for 17 disposals a game? Looks like he gets all his points from tackles and regularly doesn't hit 75% TOG.

Plays a very Sc friendly role. Hits tackles, loves a CP and hits the scoreboard. Only real issue at Adelaide was lack of midfield time and that won't be an issue at GC.

Also somewhat interested. Looks though that he was playing maybe a high half fwd role (low 20's possies, quite a few goals) rather than solid midfield time in those first 6 rounds last year.

Injury to Wines makes him appeal though...

Zac Fisher, get on board.
I've literally spent the whole pre-season trying to avoid putting him in my team again. He was meant to be my gun POD last season and granted i was lucky to get rid of him before he turned to absolute shit but even before that he hardly delivered. I watched him closely and he would have a brilliant quarter and then go missing for far too long. He is lively around the goals which may be to his disadvantage in terms of scoring potential as he may play predominantly forward. I think he really offers something to the Carlton midfield though. He is pretty quick and decent by foot and i think complements the likes of Curnow & Cripps in particular. If he was guaranteed to play mostly midfield and attend a decent amount of centre bounces id pick him in a heartbeat but there is too much uncertainty at this stage.

Also, i dont know this, and could be way off the mark, but i assume he doesnt have the biggest tank as he wouldnt sustain midfield minutes. I could be way off with that observation though, Carlton may just enjoy rotating their midfield. I honestly think he is classy enough to have a breakout season and my money would be on either this year or next so he is a big watch in the Marsh series. So yeah, I'd love to pick him again but at this stage it would probably take balls bigger than my own.

I was hoping he was going to fly under the radar a bit this off season and he is a POD lock for me up forward.

His ceiling is just massive scoring wise no matter where on the ground he plays and 6% ownership is fantastic as a POD.

If I was going to pick anyone at Collingwood it would be Jaidyn Stephenson he is also going to get more midfield time this year. Only 2% ownership

A couple years off imo. Started the year with glandular so I don’t think they’ll be rushing him up the field any time soon.

Well that's a bugger for him I didn't hear about that. He is the only pies player I like and wish him all the best of luck for the year.

I’m tipping he’ll play deep forward a lot and cause havoc. It’s his most dangerous position. Even with glandular and coming back slowly into match sim he’s like an energizer bunny.

Think I’m gonna go with my gut on bailey smith

Had 20 touches 10 times last year
75, 86, 86, 87, 87, 88, 91, 98, 101, 104

Can see him averaging 20+ disposals comfortably in 2020 and if any of the gun rookies from last year do an Oliver and go to 100+ in year 2 it’ll be him and walsh at the top.

He’ll only get better and the dogs play a high scoring brand of footy

Averaged 85 the last 9 games and is priced at 76. Anyone else thinking about him?

Or are other mid pricers like de goey Dawson lynch wingard brayshaw acres Steven all that you’re thinking about? Would need to average 90+ to justify my pick but don’t think it’s unrealistic after a full pre season and probably next in line after the big 3 at the Dogs!
