Good Lord, I’m not. Giving up Seedsman for the likely benefit of getting the same or worse pick 12 months early?
It’s highly likely. List profile won’t be that much different to this year in terms of games played. That’s what I first wrote, but changed it to not seem too hysterical
If north get a bounce, hawthorn take to their new coach and collingwood with another daicos find something, we had want to be careful that it won't be pick 1 next year..certainly not out of the realms of possibility
2022 first rounder pick 2 would be more likely than 2021 pick 5.Do you think Seedsman plays any part in our next premiership?

I’m not sure Doedee plays a part in our next premiership - should we give him away too?
For Horne? Yes. Everyone has a price, especially when you are in bad shape.
Love Doedee though. Lucky that trade would never happen.
Traditionally to move a pick forward a year, you have to give up more than the current pick’s value. I’m pretty sure there’s a ton of examples of this from when future trading was introducedSeedsman could well win our B&F and take him out of the side, and our 2022 first will have a pretty good chance of being at least as good as the pick we get in this year
Seedsman & 2022 pick 4-7 for 2021 pick 5 looks a pretty bad deal to me

Only if GCS has pick 1 as Horne is clearly the best midfielder in this year's draft.Confident? Not sure what you mean there. I'm assuming it will be a top 5 pick.
But I'd rather pick up a 2nd top line mid this draft and get a year of development into them than wait another year and maybe miss out.
Will I be disappointed if we finish bottom next season? Of course. But that's the risk. I'm willing to take those odds.

Well I disagree with your assessment. Plus Doedee is captain in waiting.
Seedsman's value is as high as it will ever be, especially to GC.
I want another classy mid desperately after watching that performance last night. I think we get that with pick 5 this year.
Seb’s son ? ( former listed crows player that was a star but injured his knee playing basketball and never got over it )For player comparison not really sure - haven’t seen him myself. 19 goals in 9 U18 games and apparently playing good footy in the ruck for Trinity College.
For mine the best key forward in U18 is Felix Packer. Huge brute of a kid. 20 goals in 6 games for Sturt and 23 from 6 for school. But couldn’t make the state squad so what would I know ha ha.
When you consider Tex might not play as well next year we are a huge chance to win the wooden spoon again next seasonIf north get a bounce, hawthorn take to their new coach and collingwood with another daicos find something, we had want to be careful that it won't be pick 1 next year..certainly not out of the realms of possibility
You should post that on the carlton boardI actually think at some point it's healthy for a rebuilding team to trade out its future first round pick
Take away any inkling of incentive for losing so that it's not a consideration in any aspect of selection or player management or performance.
Maybe not this year though...

We don't even need to that, I don't think we could play any worse than we did last night. Keep that up and we wont win another game.Hawthorn gone into tank mode.
North already woeful
Collingwood wanted to keep their coach.
We need to put guys in for surgery
Yes. Could be anything but like Hugo Kittel, too hooked into rowing.Seb’s son ? ( former listed crows player that was a star but injured his knee playing basketball and never got over it )
It’s a fine line between teams backing themselves in to improve and simply paying more to get their pick into this year. The Melb/NM 2019 trade that saw the Dees get Kozzy was Melb’s 2020 1st, a mid 2nd and a late 3rd (I think) for pick 8 or so, just after the Dees finished 17th. Definitely risky at the time, almost too risky (although it worked out for them)I don’t know about that. Teams often back themselves to improve, but I don’t recall too many examples of their being a premium for moving picks forward. Or at least nothing of note
ZAC BECKER – SCOTCHI’ve not seen either of his last 2 games personally but if I had to put 2 + 2 together I might come up with his side being obliterated last week against Westies. Now the thing about that was Westies had midfield guns Kobe Ryan and Tyson Coe back from Sacred Heart. Those 2 did a number on the North midfield which may have knocked him a bit.
This week he maybe lost some confidence from last week? Little Maxy Blacker has also returned for North from St Peters and got a ton of it today, so maybe took some midfield play away from Hugh? No Linke or Dudley for Centrals though with their midfield anchored by an U16. Should have done a bit better I think. See how he goes next week. No injury that I’ve heard of.
On another note have you noticed Zac Becker at Sturt - killed it in reserves today. Probably not a need for Crows but must be rising on draft boards.
Thank you so much for digging that out - wonderful.ZAC BECKER – SCOTCH

Zac Becker was strongly touted headed into the season but his blistering campaign so far has still exceeded expectations.
The Sturt product has shown his versatility as well.
Becker booted 11 goals in Scotch’s round three win over St Michael’s then went into defence in round five to hold down St Peter’s gun Morgan Ferres in a big upset victory.
“He’s been a standout at both ends of the ground as well as being very consistent,” Scotch coach Ben Nelson said.
“Zac’s probably been in our top three every game.”
Becker has also played one reserves game this season for Sturt, along with four under-18

Granted, it’s different giving away a senior player in a deal like that as it’s practically begging for a lower ladder position, but current picks do seem to have more value usually
