Ross is untidy with the footy, he also takes a long time to make a decision with the ball in his hands. He isn’t a very high instinct type of mid. Hobbs uses the ball very well by foot and by hands. Hobbs isn’t a meat and potato type at all. He’s going to be a very strong contested beast in his prime and will be a player that can impact in 2022. He is a tackling machine aswell, hunts players defensively which is something we lack at stoppages.

Funny how you look at things. I reckon Ross has great hands and plenty of time and sets players into space. He is also a good tackler and strong. I would watch early Ross as opposed to the one we saw the last two years to get a better opinion. Has been moved around from pliiar to post the last two season.

How can you make such a natural centreman into a half back the following year.

If on draft night after Daicos gets bid and taken by the Pies , If the players we like are gone i would offer Collingwood a swap of pick #7 + #40 for their 2022 1st rounder and just go into this draft with #15 , #26 , #28 , #38.

That would give us a chance with a top 4 pick on a player like Harry Lemmeys who is looking like a Ben/Max King

They can if they get another 2nd pick in for their #27 which is what they are aiming for

Yeah, I'd probably go that way too. Hope for a solid mid at 15 if we can get a Lever type (i.e. Gibcus) at 7. Not sure there's a Weitering quality lockdown key defender in the draft pool this year though.

Yeah. Not sure where the list team have rated Gibcus and the other top 10 mids, but if he's there at our 1st and we take him, Balta and him roaming the backline for the next 10 years might work.

Callaghan looks a ripper but would be very surprised to get to 7.

But we won't have a pic 7 next year. We could have the best or second best key forward/back going this year. There are bugger all good key forwards in the league as it is, and to get a good one free agency costs you need to pay an arm and a leg, Cameron.

We need one now, get a year development into them and they will be ready(ish) for when Jack goes.

Pick 7 will get you a good midfielder. Those being touted at our pick, Hobbs and Ward, don't look special but solid pics. If someone like Callaghan falls indeed snap them up, but the choice of the best tall or back or an industrious midfielder, I'll go the tall right now, because it is far more what we need IMO.

why would you want to waste a good pick on a mediocre tall?

This is a midfielders draft its most likley that most of the KPP's aree very average this year and wouldnt get in the top 20 in previous drafts. But becuase Gibcus or Amiss are the only semi decent ones it has put them in the top 20.

If Richmonds recruiting staff are as good as everyone thinks then them offering nearly our entire draft hand to get pick one shows how much they value the picks after the top 3

Gibcus sounds pretty handy. If he reaches the tigers pick looks solid down back long term kpp with balta? Tarrant with his time to develop too

If you took him @ 7 you can take a mid @ 15
