2022 AFL draft >

Selection 1- Will Ashcroft.
Selection 2- Jaspa Fletcher.

Not to mention Riley McMillian.

And then we are unable to pick anyone until pick 99 in the 2023 draft.
But…. Who cares!
Atleast we have just won 2 premierships.

I heard he's a Covid-denier who kicks puppies in his spare time
I heard he doesn't really care about football and might hang up his boots at any point to follow his dream of becoming a trapeze artist.

He’s still got a couple of more cracks at it. How old was John Noble when he was drafted?

22? Casey will be the same age next draft. Hope he keeps at it and gets onto an AFL list.

We have an exceptional tall forward group in our best 22, then legitimately nothing. Need to start developing for the future.
Be handy if Smith could develop into something. Or even Fullarton improve enough to hold a KP. In the event of neither happening we need to look at drafting or finding a young key forward over the next 3 years.

I shouldn't use that sort of description. These guys could become something but ptobably long shots. Fullarton becoming a solid F/R would be huge.

Surely the Suns would be hoping to draft Hollands junior

If they're expecting another top 3 pick next year they should just fold. There absolutely has to be improvement. That list should be ready to nudge or come close to the top 8.

Who's Ashcroft staying with up North? Swanny?

If we win the whole shebang next year, our current picks/points would be worth:
Pick 18: 985
Pick 35: 522
Pick 54: 220
Pick 72: 19

We need 2400 points to match a bid at pick 1.
We can split round 1 pick into more points, see what the Bulldogs did this year. Maybe even round 2 pick too.

The best picks for points matching are those in the 40s and 50s, as they give you reasonable number of points, but teams are happy to trade them to you for a higher pick.

I’m well aware of all that. Though I’d rather a couple of picks in the 30’s if we’re going to need 5 picks at next year’s draft.

Hey briz, where did you get this rankings list from, I couldn't find in on the draft board? I was looking for a write up on each player.
Went in to the 2022 draft thread and did a word search for “rankings” and it should be one of the more recent posts.

Think the Bulldogs ended up 500 points better off from trading away pick 17, which then became more when they traded 23 down during the draft.

Is it me, or it doesn't seem like the list spots for every pick applies to trades during the draft.
