I think everyone here is in the wrong track.

Dogs are scheduled to play WC in Perth in Rd. 15.

Dogs play Freo in Perth this week. (Rd. 12), and both Dogs and WC have a BYE the following week. (Rd. 13.)

Therefore, the line of thinking from the Clubs is that Dogs stay in Perth for a week, play Freo Rd. 12, play WC in Rd. 13 then both teams will have their BYE IN ROUND 15.

That would mean I've been holding off getting Macrae (because I already have Bont, Zerrett, Walsh and Cripps) for no good reason which would be typical!

What are people’s realistic bye clearance numbers now?
Got a way to get 18/19 all three weeks with sensible trades, but that’s about the extent of it tbh.
Bit flat.

Haha, would honestly go full Falling Down if they did that, would have the most rustled Jimmies of all time 🤣
Narrator: They did do that and he meekly accepted it, there would be no rampage.

Similar. Was looking at 20/21 this week. Scraped through with 19 confirmed starters. Wouldn't mind if Highmore was sub and came on early.
Should have 20 at least round 13 and 18 round 14. Would love Brockman to get a game.
Will be grabbing Whitfield next week and Bolton the week after. Targeting 2 of Neale/Danger/Zorko to complete team in round 15.

I've got 18 starters this week (19 if SP Treacy makes the final cut) 17 next week (18 if 1 of FMacrae/Treacy plays) and 17 in Round 14 before my final upgrade which will probably be a 1 up and 1 down, so hopefully 19 starters, but tbh I'll be happy to just scrape through with 18 each week and come out of the byes with 7-8 trades still in hand as my keepers aren't as strong as some other teams and I'll want to do another partial upgrade or two to achieve parity or better with the stronger teams.

What are the chances of West Coast playing either Richmond or Western Bulldogs next week and getting announced either today or tomorrow. If West Coast play next week I’ll be going Grundy to Nic Nat if not I won‘t be as I need more R13 players.

Will depend on whether CoVid restrictions are lifted early or extended ......it's been muted, but a decision will be after this round

Good question. I want to know before the round starts, because if the Dogs' bye is going to be moved to Round 15 then I will grab Macrae immediately

How do you know it'll be after this round?
My feeling that the AFL will wait & see till the last minute B4 making a call on the WC v Dogs game ......if the lockdown finishes next Thursday, then I'd expect no changes to the fixture

It's hard to gauge rounds 13 and 14 until I see the green dots and trade, but I should be good for 18-20 every week. If team selections don't go my way, I think one week might be have just 17 scores, but I reckon that's a worst case

Very even split of premos missing in each bye round. I made a conscious decision to grab 2x rd12 bye premos a few weeks ago, who haven't scored the greatest, but it should help me over the next couple rounds

AFL are kenties. Should be just two bye rounds. fu** this three round bye sh*t. Serves no purpose.

Apart from giving players a much needed mid-season break, they serve a purpose of making SC more challenging and interesting. Hopefully Doggies & WCE bye is moved to Rd15 so we have 4 bye rounds. #morebyesplease

I have 4 bulldog players, no thanks!

Not sure they can leave it until Thursday to decide. Not really fair on the teams involved to not know if they are playing until then.

I think there'll be enough info over the weekend TBH ....don't think the AFL will wait till the lockdown finishes, but they'll know the likely outcomes, as we're already getting a feel today

As the cliché dictates - the AFL are taking it one week at a time

The WCE's footy manager was on the radio saying that the players are going on a 4-day "break" (holiday) after Sunday's match, which means they're not due back at the club until Thursday/Friday of the following week.

A bit rough if they're told mid-week while fishing up north that they are playing on the Sunday!

That would suggest to me the WC Management are confident there wont be a fixture change
