This is the issue, because it could change things for people in terms of CCJ early yes / no, if you're keen on a Bolton, does this alter the equation etc.Question is when are they going to tell us. No doubt at the last minute as per
Don't think that'll be an option, though, got to recode that on the fly. Adding in a trade or two they've got on the shelf from last year.If you apply a scaling factor going to an eight-team bye, it comes out (fairest) at Best 16.
I would prefer that rather than extra trades.

You'd think it will happen now that it's been announced as a possibility. Hopefully confirmed sooner rather than laterQuestion is when are they going to tell us. No doubt at the last minute as per
CCJ to cover Grundy this week and Reeves after that is my plan at the momentThis is the issue, because it could change things for people in terms of CCJ early yes / no, if you're keen on a Bolton, does this alter the equation etc.
Reckon there's not a big chance we'll know in time.
Agree on the equitability front.I would have thought that's a relatively easy piece of code to write? And definitely has more integrity than throwing extra trades our way.
No solution is going to be totally fair and equitable.

Surely its a parameter or configurable in some way, why hard code the 18. Seems lazy coding to me.Don't think that'll be an option, though, got to recode that on the fly. Adding in a trade or two they've got on the shelf from last year.
Yeah, don't know, just my recollection.Surely its a parameter or configurable in some way, why hard code the 18. Seems lazy coding to me.

Code-wise thinking about it, it's actually different to last year, because last year they basically just flicked the switch to bye round scoring.
Whether best 16 or giving the possibility of >3 trades in a week, it'd be new territory, would be similar effort either way.
Edit: Or did we get like 4-5 trades in a week last year? Can't remember.
Fair point![]()
And i used all five while still keeping Jon Ceglar, Darcy Fort, Ben Long and Hunter Clark in my side.We had 5 trades in Rd2

"The Eagles would have to agree to make the change as well given they have prepared for their bye to follow this week's trip to Sydney to take on Carlton at the SCG on Sunday."
Not sure if a club has any say really, but it's hard to imagine why an injury-depleted club would want to postpone their bye, and at the same time deliver an advantage to the very club that they're playing the next week!!!
The plan is crossing his fingers and hoping it doesn't happen. So no details of what said plan might be?
