I'd be very interested if the Lions hasn't signed up Daniher, but I reckon Joe probably take what would've been Fullarton's spot this year. Can't see them playing all of McInerney, Daniher, Hipwood, McStay and Fullarton in one side.
It's a good point .....but will BRIS throw Daniher in the deep end and force him to cover a lot of kms as a 2nd ruck with groins on the mend ?

McStay is the more likely second ruck IMO. But McStay is also a huge spud, so maybe Fullarton could overtake him on form?

I don't think he'll start the year in the best 22, but he could maybe be in there by the end of the year.

You wouldn't think so they seem a lot more professional at the Lions.

Sam Hayes is another young ruck who I think will play games this year. I'd like to see him start taking over from Lycett who's really not much more than an honest battler. Won't play 22 games or anything but should hopefully get a few opportunities here and there.

No R/F though, so if you're not going the cheapo option with Treacy, Fullarton's R/F eligibility probably makes him the better bench option.

I was talking to a mate this afternoon who is a mad Bulldogs member and he reckons that they want Stephen Martin to be R1 and English will be used more forward this year has anyone else heard similar?

Big Stef is on the decline. Unless he listens to Uncle Chop-Chop's advice.

I doubt the club expects Stef to play every round.

I saw that, he’s certainly not messing around and here to make up the numbers. He’ll be splitting a decent amount of time with English which I think makes them both irrelevant.
English R/F 2022?????

I'm committed to going in with the Gawn/Grundy/Preuss trio. Im happy to start with a budget about 200k less than everyone else going with a rookie r/f as i reckon Preuss will make back that 200k and hopefully more. Then when im strapped for cash ill dump Preuss and have a very handy amount in the kitty for an upgrade or 2. I maintain that the start of the season is the best time to make a decision such as mine with Preuss as it should be easier to find a player or 2 that are undervalued and therefore while 200k is worth ~38 points, i shouldn't be losing 38 points per week if i pick a decent mid-pricer or rookie instead of a premium or mid-pricer. In my team i think the 200k is the difference between McDonald and Milera. I don't expect Milera to average 38 points less than McDonald. I think it would be 20-25 max. Assuming Preuss makes 200k, when i downgrade him hopefully the value of the upgrade will be more than just 20-25 points per week. Ideally it would be about 38 given that is the 'starting value' of 200k.

I have really considered this myself but I doubt I will do it. Here is a copy of Baily Williams who I started with and kept all year last year. His starting price is almost the same as Preuss is so you can see if he averages 90+ and you hold your nerve until the Bye rounds you could make a ton of cash.

Before Preuss's bye, gws play Essendon, Richmond, West Coast, Brisbane. Draper, Nank, Nic Nat, Big O. Massive chance to be at peak price then. If you have Preuss r3, keep him for the long haul, if r2 just gotta go when Gawn/Grundy are at a low.

I also started Bailey Williams last year and kept him for the duration. I think Preuss can match his effort or possibly go even bigger.

Your mates lost the plot on this one
