I do love the way Chris Scott speaks about his players and the club. A lot of passion.

A couple of underlings isn't too much dramatic news. But its a start.

Sexton has been there for over a decade.
With Libba, Lade and Sexton leaving, Walsh, Lenny and a new forward coach arriving, and Rath effectively demoted, It's already a major overhaul. At least they're not sitting on their hands.

I really rate him as a coach and as a speaker. I'd have him involved in our club in a second if he were willing.

Or Selwood.

Or Stephen Wells.

Or Rhys Stanley at this point...

Maybe I should just support Geelong instead

Rath not demoted yet. It was crazy talk to give a person who hasn't achieved anything at the club the position of head of football.

Lade got a job somewhere else.

Libba was already leaving

Sexton, well thank you for your service over the last decade.

More to play out here... I think...

So who was it that wanted Rath as head of football

Where's Libba going? Completely missed that news

Need to nail this forward coach

Pretty happy with the Lenny selection and I think our defence clearly improved under Enright

We fell away in the forward half a lot this year though, especially in the back half
I’m not sure if our defense improved at all. We’re still one of the worst teams for giving up a score once it goes in the defensive 50 which has been a common theme since Ratten started. Probably why when we lose we look uncompetitive.

We sat 7th from least to most points conceded. So could be better but definitely not one of the worst teams in the comp.

That does surprise me if that stat us true.

To me we looked much more organised in defence

Where do we sit on the ladder in terms of points scored per inside 50?

To me the forward structure ruined any chance of finals. Even when we were going well in the first half of the season, we scored well when Snags and King were converting at a higher rate than average. That's never going to a be a sustainable model.

It's interesting that most of the sides that went deep into finals had a lot of avenues to goal. Geelong and Carlton are more traditional models with 2 big dominant KPFs and with Geelong Stengle who is an absolute gun, made them a triple threat but still have a few like Rowan, Miers and Close who can get you but work the other way as well.

Carlton probably really should have chased a Bobby Hill type because looking over their list they look a small forward behind Geelong.

Collingwood have so many points of attack that they are hard to stop but are still adding pieces as are Brisbane who are adding Gunston when they are already a fire power side, I guess he's to replace McStay though.

In the second half of the season nearly everything fell apart. Steele holds so much up in the mids that when he went down we seemed to look like we were being bombarded.

I remember the Crows game where without Steele we only escaped with a win due to King converting. They had us on the ropes all night. The midfield was unable to hold up with out him and just let the ball get ripped out all night.

I don’t know where to get those stats I just remember seeing it on one of the shows. Probably First Crack.
