Apparently Jackson Edwards had the #19, which I don't remember at all. Prior to that it was Dangerfield, yes.

They have lockers set up in order so it wouldn't make sense to have a number considerably bigger than the next person.

18/23 have been exclusively kept for our indigenous players since Johncock/McLeod had amazing careers in them.

McAdam is currently wearing 23
Milera had made 30 his own while Betts/Stengle were 18 and McAdam/Cameron were 23.
Newchurch and Davis are rookies.

SO maybe they're just keeping it available for someone to earn, rather than just handing it out.
Maybe we learnt from the past when we gave Menzel 32.
