It's that time of the year where we're about to hit crazy season on the board.

In order to keep some order around the place, I've locked all threads except the standard ones that we have during the season - refer #5. Will leave the rate my preseason thread going until final lockout.

Any new threads that don't fit in to the standard structure will likely end up merged with either an existing suitable thread, or the General Chat thread as a catch-all.

Good luck to everyone - this is one of the toughest years to pick a starting side that I can remember.

What a load of sh*t. They're all triple ******* vaxxed, just let them play.
Mate tell me about it. I'm starting to get sick of this crap. They're all vaccinated, they're all professional athletes, and they're young, their chance of dying has so many decimal points it's not funny. Higher chance getting killed in a car accident on the way to matches/training.

As soon as Delta came around and there was so much vax pierce, the vax was clearly a personal health decision. With Omicron the vax pierce is stupidly high. It doesn't stop transmission outside of MAYBE helping for a few weeks. I got married in Jan and about 20 of my guests had just received their boosters in the weeks prior. They were literally swimming in antibodies. 18/20 recently boosted caught it at my wedding. Like 80/120 guests caught covid at my wedding, several in their 80s and 90s and not all boosted. Nobody had any issues. The vax clearly works to stop serious illness and disease (T and B memory cell immunity; it's not all about antibodies), but aside from that, this whole "do it to protect others" narrative is a fraud. I actually can't believe it's still being mandated when it's so clearly a personal health decision.

It's time to move on.

We're all going to catch the next variant. If you want 25 boosters, go for it, the Government just needs to gtfo of peoples lives now. As they said in the UK as they ended all covid policies (in the middle of their Winter mind you), there's enough natural immunity, vax immunity and personal health decisions being made to consider this endemic now and move on. Australia is so behind (looking at WA). They'll probs lock us down when the next variant comes (which is inevitable, because it's endemic and not going anywhere).

fwiw before yall think I'm a crazy nut job anti vaxxer, I'm vaccinated and have caught covid. If it wasn't for my wedding and doing the right thing to inform my guests, I wouldn't have even tested myself, I had zero symptoms. Don't be scared, my 90 year old granny caught it and was gardening every day with covid.

dunno why I typed all of that lol, it's going to be deleted soon. /rant over

Sounds like you shouldn't have got married.

How does it feel being responsible for 80 people getting sick? :moustache:

I just listen to the Government. The Government said it wasn't a problem to go ahead with my wedding, so I listened to the "experts". Blame the Government, not me, I just listen and follow orders :)
