i'd take a 2nd fyfe and chuck him forward, until fyfe 1 breaks down and he can go in the middle

Meek will never be as good as Lobb as a forward which is what the team needs more than a quality relieving ruckman

Yeah, I think the fact that many have firmly fallen out of love with Lobb (me amongst them) the Meek as a forward/ruck option looks much better than it really is. Meek is a tap ruckman much more comparable to Darcy than he is a forward /ruck option that is comparable to Lobb.

Lobb's best as a forward is miles better than both Darcy and Meek. We just haven't seen it often enough. If he wants a fat last contract from us GWS or anyone else, he better find it more often this year.

I'm actually feeling quite bullish on Lobb this season. Looks fit after a nearly full pre-season and set to take the 2nd best defender after the big Crab. With the midfield/Darcy well and truly arriving, our forward line looking as potent as it's been since... 2011? (Has it really been 11 years? ****ing hell) and a clear emphasis on spotting up targets inside 50, it's a good time to be a key forward at Freo.

The likes of Henry, Young, Clark, Crowden delivering to our forwards? Yes please. Having Tabs, Treacy (with more experience), Walters (still draws a quality defender) healthy is massive. The emergence of Fredrick, Schultz and Switkowski will keep other defenders honest too. With Amiss & Erasmus still to debut also (maybe a cheeky Chapman up forward too).

Hell last season, Lobb still managed 20.19 from 13 games. Tidy up that accuracy and play a few more games and that's a 35-40 goal player right there.

woke up this morning and next to him was Dean Sarcy who is exactly like him in every way, an exact clone.

Do we play two of him?

What if you had 22 Sean Darcys? 22 Darcys would dominate 22 NicNats. No question.

We are falling right into the 12pm- 2pm time slot for Trade Radio with this, but which three current players would you clone to play both in the side at once?

Freddy is probably one of them given his unique physical abilities.

We end up talking about how no matter how good elite players are their elite features aren't across the board and playing more of them compounds those weaknesses. The mental exercise that helps understand team balance.

Peak Fyfe for sure
He is like the Great White of AFL , built to play .
(Only problem is his kicking for goal)
Other than that I think he is the perfect specimen for a footballer .

Of course. Adelaide would love to have it streamed. Quite likely to reveal if Fyfe is in or out for starters, and how we deal with it. How about Treacy? Lobb? Wilson?

I recall the Lyon days and the lengths Freo went to to keep finals training sessions hidden from the public view.
Entrances to the ground all screened off, security guards patrolling menacingly. Really comical and pathetic.
But it helped us win the flag didn’t it. It didn’t!! That’s right, I remember now. We couldn’t kick straight to save our lives on the day it mattered.
