The whole crazy hair, age defying, time bending thing is really starting to get on my nerves.

The West report in todays training report that main training is on Wednesday. Unfortunately the Freo website has not been updated from last week.
I would have thought it would be on Thursday but Wednesday has been reported.

I think it is Thursday for Sunday matches and Wednesday for Saturday matches. I guess they want as much recovery before the game as possible.

Michael Walters is contributing to Fremantle’s success so far this season, even if he’s not been as prolific as years gone by.
But Walters’ confidence in front of goal appears to have taken a hit this season, appearing to overthink every crack at the big sticks, particularly against Essendon.
And it appears to have prompted some intervention from senior coach Justin Longmuir.
While other players ran through the early stages of recovery, Walters practised goal kicking on his own.
He was later joined by Longmuir, the pair remaining anchored inside 50 at the carpark end of the field.
Longmuir gestured a kicking action, perhaps giving his veteran some advice on regaining belief in attack after Walters’ 2.6 start to the season.
The conversation lasted around five minutes before the two went their separate ways, giving Walters a lot to ponder after his defensive work has gone unrewarded on the scoreboard this season.

There’s a popular saying in football: Train how you play.And if you’re Rory Lobb, that includes celebrating as you would on game day.
A key part of Tuesday recovery sessions has become a modified match of soccer, with players relishing the change-up from regular programming.
So when Lobb scored a long-range goal, he celebrated accordingly.
With teammate Matt Taberner overtaking Lobb in the race to be Fremantle’s leading goal kicker with a career-best haul of seven goals against Essendon, let’s hope Lobb can call on his celebrations against Carlton.
Health check
As is becoming a pattern at Fremantle this year after several injury-riddled seasons, there were very few injury concerns.David Mundy was absent as the midfield group rolled through recovery.
In-form midfielder Will Brodie trained with a compression bandage on his calf but moved freely.
AFL coaches votes leader Andrew Brayshaw walked and jogged laps by himself, for a bit as did forward Sam Switkowski.
Caleb Serong moved well after returning from a knee niggle against Essendon, while Sam Sturt also hit the training track after travelling to Melbourne with his teammates, with the forward unavailable for selection after knee soreness last week.
Fremantle will have a clearer idea of availability after main training on Wednesday.
