Could definitely be the case. It's just the timeframe that makes it a little different in my opinion.

But Jesus Christ people in this thread are acting like I've accused the bloke of some sort of crime, I literally said I agree with and support steroid use.
You have in the eyes of the AFL ,Asada and others.
You have called him a cheat, .
Get a life FFS.

Calm down man it's not that deep.

I reckon that PED use is rampant in the AFL, tonnes of blokes are probably on something.

I don't care about the eyes of ASADA and the AFL, the policy is a joke.

Hopefully PEDs and steroids are more normalised as the years go on.

That is the simplicity that you see it. But imagine if Fyfe has a drug test and comes up positive.
That is dumb.D U M B.
I shudder to think the repercussions of you assessment.

Look like I said, I could very easily be wrong, Fyfe may just have God tier genetics. But it's hard not to notice these things or be sceptical about it once you read up more on it.

fyfe's recent work is actually not that suspicious, he was just limited in what he could do so he ended up living in the gym. A guy his age putting on that level of muscle isn't that unrealistic.

What was pretty, shall we say "not normal" was when he built his tank and put on about 15kg of muscle in one preseason (i think it was the 2012 off season). And he was only like 19 at the time.

the AFL weren't even testing for EPO until 2007. Literally, the entire TDF was on EPO by the mid 90s and the AFL wasn't even testing for it until a decade later.

We don't get positive tests because the AFL doesn't make any effort to catch people and even if they did, it would be extremely difficult to prove. Essendon was injecting people what 4 times a week and not a single player tested positive. And you think players aren't doing it now? lol

people who think AFL players aren't on PEDs are living in a total fantasy world. The tacit rule in the league is that the players aren't taking the piss - ie taking bodybuilder level supplements. But everything else is being used, particularly TRT and EPO.

That's some pretty big accusations to throw around without a shred of evidence......but anyway.

I've enjoyed reading the lady few pages, been very entertaining and insightful. Without naming names anyone who wants steroids legal in sport either is a flog that uses them or is just a fool.

As for Fyfe he's a beast, he's always been a beast. Held the back squat record during the Lyon days when he was a unit. Muscle has memory and you can quickly and easily put on what you lost and some in a short period of time. I work in a non mining industry where we are drug tested frequently, working alongside of some big boys who only need to look at a dumbbell to get jacked. It's in the genes.

Btw, anyone who says "my dude" has no credibility and should be ignored 🤭

Some big claims being made in this thread lately.

In my 20s I was a 65kg little whippet with no muscle mass and an appalling hunch back. I went to the gym 5 days a week for three years and was 90kg with very little fat (and a straight back) at my peak.
I’m now almost 40 and 88kg with a pretty average dad bod. I havent been on a sustained weights regime for a long time but occasionally I go back to the gym for a couple of months at a time and my body has not forgotten how to put on muscle. It happens very quickly and I’m convinced it’s due to the fact I put on so much muscle over a long period previously. It’s like your body produces natural hormones a lot easier once it has figured it out.
Fyfe went through a massive transformation early in his career and I think it’s the same thing for him.

If you think the AFL players are clean that's great. I also have a bridge to sell you.

EPO in the late 90s was both a massive performance enhancer and undetectible. You telling me players wouldn't take it? I guess the honor system? :) :) :)
