AFL.com.au's Brownlow Predictor

32 Lachie Neale (Brisbane)
30 Nick Daicos (Collingwood)
29 Zak Butters (Port Adelaide)
28 Marcus Bontempelli (Western Bulldogs)
27 Tim Taranto (Richmond)
25 Jordan Dawson (Adelaide)
25 Christian Petracca (Melbourne)

Don't think Taranto has any chance. Goes by less than 45% by foot.

I reckon it's Bont's this year. Daicos will be up against the odds, ironically, despite being odds on favourite.

Out of the past 15 winners, 13 of them all finished in the top 10 for contested possessions and clearances.
The only exceptions were Ablett in 2009 (finished 2nd for contested, but 17th for clearances) and Swan in 2011 (finished 9th for clearances but 11th for contested ball). So both of those guys at least finished top 10 in one of those categories, and were fairly close in the other category.

Daicos is currently 67th for contested possessions and 56th for clearances. He's going to be a great player for a long time, but he's is way off the mark for both of those measures. Not impossible for him to win, but will have to buck the trend of not being top 10 in at least one of those categories and being well outside the top 20 for both.
