There are a few similarities between Cripps and big Nick. Both Carlton warriors if course.

Big John played for quite a few years (about 10 from memory) before the club had any success. Won his fifth best and fairest before he won his first flag in 1968. Once all of the pieces were in place he then dragged everyone with him to success and three flags.

Hopefully the pattern will be followed.
Does this also mean they will rename our best and fairest after him too?

Six of our top 10 BNF finishers are under 26 years old. Still some big improvement to come in this list :blueheart:

Bending it a little bit there mate.

The average age of that lot is slightly over 25 years. Will be nuding 26 at the beginning of the season.

The time is now. No more excuses.

Lets not hide behind the "we're still not peak maturity yet" narrative anymore.

Embrace the expectations.
Go for glory.
* the fear of failure.

"Oh but we're still young". If we delude ourselves into thinking there is some perfect time when all players are a certain age the time will get away from us before we even realise it is too late. An unfortunate ACL, dramatic loss of form, other circumstances who knows what will happen in the future. Can't keep waiting for the perfect time.

When did I say the time is not now? I just said there is clearly improvement to come from a lot of the list. Surely we need to improve to climb the ladder?
