He'll play. Bloke is tough as nails and wont miss with a flu. Him and trac always suit up. Its remarkable they never miss. Thought trac was an issue after an early acl but has barely missed a game since. Pretty remarkable for a bloke his size. He weighs 98kg!!

Played against Trac throughout juniors, was apparently 100kg in under 16's and he was still super explosive and agile - unbelievable genetics.

Thats ridiculous at that age isnt it. The main reason blokes get drafted is because they mature early and have decent size about them by yr 11 or 12 of high school. Pretty stiff for the late developers.

Thats why you see so many flops in the AFL. They are just athletes who were bigger and stronger at that age but dont have the footy brain or skills. Kills me seeing blokes who can still barely kick making 300k a yr because of their size. I like the american system better where they go to college and mature for a few years. Obviously would never happen here but gives players a real chance to catch up by age 20/21.

Definitely, it's just not quite as black and white with someone like Oliver who's a captaincy lock each week. With that sort of fixture, you could feasibly see him average 140-150 over a five-week period. Being a non-owner for that sort of run could be disastrous when the majority of the comp are getting those scores, plus the captaincy bonus.

If he misses this week, then it's definitely backfired on me, but it was a worthwhile risk IMO.

IMO it's better for you if he misses. A sub 100 score and his price will crash and everyone gets him for $630k in 3 weeks. So you lose him as a POD and spent more than others.

If I was an owner I'd be hoping for a late out.
