Of course 'trading' players for most Blues fans means trading 'rubbish' for other 'rubbish'. We won't be winning one anytime soon unless we do something adventurous in regards to list management. It will be 'win one for Walker' at the rate we are going.

Nick Haynes is in his early 30s, isn't a Key Position back (plays similar to Kemp and McGovern) and has hamstrings with more scar tissue than Adam Cerra and Jack Martin combined.

I have mentioned our midfield needs a make over and we need to move on from all our slow midfielders and only have the 1, Cripps. Many people upset again.

Remove the junk Carlton and bring in non conditional players.

We need 4 quarter players and more than can go through the midfield and create some extra zip to give some combative bodies a rest.

Would gladly get rid of every one of them if it meant me had better team balance next season. The treacle speed across the ground and insipid cleanliness cannot be overcome when our top liners aren't going crazy.

Ollie and Kemp desperately need to be replaced while they develop at the lower level by some mature age plug in types too.

Team balance is important but less so than having the required amount of talent peaking at the right time. Lets face it, the other clubs have worked us out and apart from our top 8 or so players we have a large bunch of vanilla types at best who would be hard pressed to perk up a VFL side.

Our midfield is getting beaten, can't lay a hand on the opposition when they have it & they're able to pick one of many open targets inside f50.
Small forwards are down the list of our needs.

We desperately need 2-3 elite speed small forward/ half forward players who compliment our big keys and put huge pressure on teams coming out of defence because teams just waltz it out against us. Make some hard calls but Owies Motlop Fogarty isn't getting it done. Luckily these types often peak early and have impact straight away if we can nail our draft picks.
