Wandered over to Cats board.
Some acknowledgment that SDK “may” be a possibility to leave….with majority obviously dismissing it.
Also some interest in Bam Bam.
We really should be trying to deal with them.
Bam Bam and Pitto for SDK????

I couldn't say I 'trust' them bc our list is out of whack already but they'd have to royally screw things up to leave the list in a worse shape after trade period/draft. I think we need significant change across the list tbh.

Think people need to get used to the idea that we need to move players on to rebalance our list. With some, I think we're locked into unhelpful situations (too much invested in KPPs for my liking (pay TDK whatever though - he'll be most valuable of the lot imo), the Williams salary), but watching the other finalists exposed just how far off we are in some areas (we already knew, the concern is that list mgmt/recruiting haven't see it coming or made good decisions to rectify).

I'm hoping a number of players are moved on - take your pick on 2-3 of our small forwards. TDK, Cripps, Walsh, Weiters and one of Charlie/H are the only untouchables for me. I fear we'll overpay for Weiters but we have no alternative.

I'm done with being sentimental. We need to be getting a flag in the next few years and for that, we need change.

Trading Matt Kennedy might be one of the stupidest list moves we've ever made
Tend to agree. But I am not Voss. He has been used in some strange ways over the past two seasons.

JSOS coming back, Moir developing, Kemp now a forward option, Elijah may be up for increased mid time and Lord shaping very well. If Voss ain’t playing him in his best role, then probably doing him a favour.

One of my favourites and I would be sorry to see him go, but can see the thinking. Unfortunately.

Any side that has a quick midfield would love Kennedy
He won't have trouble finding a home.

Few teams would love a big tough inside mid.

Hurts to say, he would probably be a good fit for the Bombers.

Bringing in a half back (Zac Williams) and paying him money normally reserved for a very good proven midfielder on the expectation he could be a very good midfielder despite never having shown it outside of one (albeit very good) game has it covered by some distance.

Speed of our mids, slowest to quickiest, JMO

Cripps, Kennedy, Hewett, Lord, Carroll

B Camporeale, Cerra

Walsh

2 too many in that first group?

Are we looking at Houston to play as a midfielder?
Not sure Cripps is the slowest these days, but regardless yes likely 2 too many in the first group

Kennedy I get, wants to play mid, we understand we can't play him there with Cripps and Walsh. Would love to keep you but if you want mid time feel free to go elsewhere. Good list management.

Lewis Young I cannot understand, we MUST have something lined up because we cannot have Weitering and Sam Durdin as our only real KPD. Haynes I don't think falls into this category, so I trust there's something else in the works.
Haynes replaces Young straight up
