Even 2 or 3 marks a game would help. Why not try and improve what you can?
Itās a clear issue he has.

Grip strength. And timing.Any chance Pitto takes marking lessons over the off season..
For a tall player that should be one of his points of difference or advantage over at the non talls at the very least.
Can you take marking lessons?
Is he not fanning his fingers out to create a bowl for the ball to drop in?
Not cushioning the drop of the ball?

I've been working on both since 14 or so, and consider myself quite accomplished.
Played with Trent. Injured most of last year. Was close mid year then tweaked ankle. Played out of position a bitLove to know what happened with his development (or lack there of)
Was massive talk of him at the time of the draftā¦recall many in this board having him pegged at our pickā¦..
He drops marks well?He has Daniel Rich size handsā¦.
Letās worry about what he does well than doesnāt do well hey?

Agree, now we have got rid of Mirkov we can hand the ruck reigns over to HOK & Lemmey in the VFL and see if either shows something.Canāt be wasting list spots. We are short on them as it is, and picking a 3rd string ruckman isnāt good use of them
Has played i think 3 games in the last 4 years, thatās why.Right, and why is that?
Could do way worse than pick up a ruck that is definite AFL calibre for nothing - would be better than Pitto if he were fit too. He belted Kreuzer in the ruck in 2019.
IMO - He's worse than Lochie O'Brien, who is lining up in the O&M GF this weekend. If we didnāt have to give up much I would be keen to see how Petrucelle from WC went in a competent team setup..
His body is absolutely cooked. Hence him doing a hammy jogging onto the ground. 2 VFL games this year after only 1 last yearHas played i think 3 games in the last 4 years, thatās why.
Because he's rarely available. He's a year older than Pittonet, who has availability issues of his own & played significantly less football.Right, and why is that?

Speaking of blokes who could run fast and that's about it, I remember a very old school work colleague of mine in the 90s commenting about Frank Marchesani, he said "Blokes like Marchesani are the reason we have fences around grounds".IMO - He's worse than Lochie O'Brien, who is lining up in the O&M GF this weekend.

like what and whoSimply have to be throwing everything at SDK
I live in Perth and have a lot of Eagles mates. Theyād run him out of townā¦if they could! If we didnāt have to give up much I would be keen to see how Petrucelle from WC went in a competent team setup..

Main thing is to be comfortable with marking...everybody does it.
Agree, both these guys played under done and neither should have been selected for the EF or Durdin v St Kilda after he popped his shoulder v WCTo be fair. Motlop's year started round 19 due to a long term injury. Even then he wasn't near ready for senior footy. Could see that in the VFL.
I'd have concerns over any player delisted by WCE, but I also know as a Carlton supporter that when your club is an absolute dumpster fire for a prolonged period of time, players talent and confidence can be sapped out of them which results in them under performing or looking worse than they are.You don't have any concerns based on Jones being delisted by West coast who have a terrible list?
He's now been delisted by a club with a good list and culture (Cats) and a really poor list (Eagles).
Sometimes junk has been left at the tip because it's not of any use any more.
So you're saying you don't want him to play for Carlton? If we didnāt have to give up much I would be keen to see how Petrucelle from WC went in a competent team setup..
I'm not sure who Geelong have got that was underperforming? Kids still finding their way I understand but underperforming?I'd have concerns over any player delisted by WCE, but I also know as a Carlton supporter that when your club is an absolute dumpster fire for a prolonged period of time, players talent and confidence can be sapped out of them which results in them under performing or looking worse than they are.
Petruccelle and Jones have shown they can play some very good footy when their teams were up and about and they were playing with confidence. Both have looked pretty shite lately but that doesn't mean that's their limitations as players if plugged into a better system with better standards they need to meet.
Geelong has basically made it a hobby of taking under performing players from other clubs and getting the best out of them.
