1 year for Haynes as depth does make a certain amount of sense when you consider who on our list is out of contract next year and the fact that we'll need to delist three.

IMO, TDK or Cerra would make the most sense to form part of any deal..

Both desirable, both OOC at the end of 2025, both probably want more $$$…

Surprisingly not every player wants to come to Carlton....which I personally find it hard to believe

Agree, wouldnt be trading Owies for picks (unless tied to a trade for KPD or talented small forward). Love Owies, but think he is at top of his value now and overvalued at that.

Honestly, Charlie draws three players at most contests. There's two of our forwards going spare, anyone with footspeed and goal sense will clean up --> see Williams

Boyd was a great pick.

Cowan + Binns for pick 30 + 32. Motlop 27. Moir 29. Carroll 41.

I did post a while back that we should chase after Barass.............

Chased by the Swans last year and said no. You can only imagine how much that the Hawks have offered him to lure him over, if they've offered Battle $850k. Would have to be well over $1mill a year.

That's one of the beauties of being a rebuilding team with a lot of cap space. We were there once but there is no way our cap would allow that now.

2 more good draft picks
Campo twins for 3rd round pick and rookie
Pick 30 for Owies
Pick 40 for Carroll

I will be very happy

Is it? How do you know we didn’t ask the question, and he said no? Or that we took into account his back issues he’s had over the last couple of years? Not everything is Nick Austin’s fault

Are you really "old enough to know" anyone before the 60s and onwards? Very few can call on personal knowledge of the 50s much less 40s and before that it's basically no-one. That's pretty much the first half of the club's history that is lost to living memory. Sadly. But I suppose if you can recall even back to the late 60s (as I can) you've got a far handle on many of the clubs all-time greats. To be clear I don't doubt Crippa is one of our all time greats, but I doubt many are "old enough to know", that gets at best the second half of Carlton's history, for the first half we have to rely on historical records.

If we can get his ankle right why not Charlie back? We've seen what he can do when dropping back as a spare late in quarters etc
