Reckon I've been left behind a bit this week by not going early on Clohesy. Unbelievable couple of games for a 102k rookie. Brings back memories of Barlow. Not sure how he'll go next week on a postage stamp of a ground, but seems all class.

Going to have to work out what to do with Jackson this week. Two underwhelming games in a row and Darcy will be back next week. Not sure if I want Comben to go large today or completely spud it up. Will be a must have if he does well again. Plays the hawks next week though. After last night, the ball might not make it to his end of the ground next week.

There’s wild variations in my highly ranked leagues. Going to be some wild rank changes. I reckon you’d be happy with 1900.

Green, English, Bont all popular Captain choices having stinkers (almost 30% captained either Green or Bont), with Grundy, Jordan, Heeney, Roberts, Daicos all out.

Many traded Jordan and Grundy, but many didn’t too.

Further to this, almost 26% still have Jordon and 54% still have Grundy. Assuming all serious punters have Heaney, Roberts and ND.

With 5 missing, plus Green, English, Bont, might be some massive rank changes.

At least I’m hoping so.

Tragics is always a good guide, and the range of projected is 1750-2000

With the exception of that sh*tstain Grundy, all other opposition Rucks have been in the top 3 SC scorers against WCE. Hopefully Darcy is out for one more week. Easy trade to English when he plummets. Gawn and English will almost certainly be the top 2 rucks.

English is a soft bitch who has come right back to the pack under the new ruck rules. Hates contact and i want him gone.

Nahhh...i;ll stick with the Gawn/Grundy combo i started with. Just no reason to change it. Grundy started a tad slow but he's a top 5 ruck and is actually reasonable buying right now. Too many impatient souls out there.

Gawn/Marshall does look the A1 combo right NOW, but we know how fast that changes. I'm happy enough with my rucks not to dick around and waste time on them.

Just on this subject - I wasn't treating Grundy as a keeper. so for me his position is like any other position on the ground, if there's value and money to be had then he makes way.

Nope. Gawn and Grundy. Flicked Grundy this week though. Stick my target, probably for Jackson in two weeks. English had a bad game, it happens, he’ll still be top 3 for the year. He was #1 last year, he’s #2 this year. Roma will be the third cog in the top 3 IMO.

Remove Grundy’s grudge match against Gawn in the opening round and he’s averaging 94, which puts him at #12.

So it looks like SuperCoach fixed up their live ranking system and it's actually working now.
Total Score actually matches up with overall rank instead of it being in random order with the rankings making no sense.

Definitely a make or break round for some. Seeing a lot of great teams on for 1700s due to captain choice.

Best 18 means captain choice is even more important as it's a greater proportion of your score

* it feels like forever since I’ve been here. SBS three weeks ago delivered just that with the young fella entering the world and a s**t supercoach day so you know ups and downs.

I feel I have neglected SC and will be useless now but sitting on 1681/16. Playing with only 21 this week as I don’t have a Grundy sub but wouldn’t be the only one.

Low 4 at the minute Ramsden Sharp Sanders Wilson.

Still have Stewart Sheezgull McKerch Reid and Short to come this afternoon.

As mentioned last night Clohsey should have a statue built the rookie defender to save the season

this may be a silly suggestion and hard to implement but it would be cool strategy wise if we had like 3 or 5 rounds where you have a captaincy 'chip' that you can use. Once you use all 3 or 5 (or however many) they are gone for the season. It would add an interesting strategic aspect as to when you use it. Won't happen though.

I dont mind the luck aspect of the game generally but when something like that happens its just really shitty. The VC/C argument i make is that if your captain gets injured and scores say 5, you are ****ed. In those (admittedly rare) cases, the VC would help

Luck for player scores is fine. Double luck/double bad luck is just rubbish. Even in your suggestion, Bont/Green would still result in a 70 point unlucky deficit.

Isn't the selection of any player in our sides involve luck .....Sanders, subbed out .....Dawson, some predicted as the highest scorer of 2024 .......and who could have predicted Heeney ..not a single Coach in the PS

So there's the luck element in any great game ......but like Backgammon, the skill is in minimising the impact of luck

The problem is, and has been all year, who do you trade him to? Even if Jackson goes at like 90 odd from here on out, he'll be in the top 6-10 forward scorers unless someone wild gets FWD DPP. So if you trade him now, you'll maybe get a better player for his money, but you probably won't get a better forward.
