Classy mid at 188cm, had a lot of class and potential
In terms of career, pretty much the same as Dow. Can’t get into a stacked midfield, but when given the opportunity, shows solid signs. Isn’t injury prone so hopefully can have a big pre season and potentially take a spot on a wing or even inside mid
Now that we have a mid, take Smillie/Draper/Jagga and split pick 8 for Trainor and Hynes please

He's a mid. He averages 10 disposals at AFL level.
Played 15 games this year, but 9 of those he was either subbed on or subbed off.
He's in a competitive spot at St Kilda - outside midfield (Hill, Wood, Byrnes, Wilson...)

Very odd. I would’ve thought we’d make him train on for a new spot, maybe had interested from WCE/GWS and we got in before DFA closes. Another list spot gone and we’re really lacking KPPs

I'm not saying he is going to be amazing pick up but your post is just lazy.
I kept an eye on Jack Carroll a bit this year. He was in my Fantasy squad for a while. His numbers weren’t great but he was sub (or subbed off) quite a few times. I remember him getting praised by commentators from time to time. He didn’t look out of place and I was slightly surprised to see him delisted.
He was often doing a defensive job on someone. In a more stacked midfield than we have. So never really racked it up. Windy hasn’t been that dissimilar in a weaker set up. He seemed to have a bit of toughness about him. Hopefully in a bit more of a positive role he’ll show a bit more. Only 21 so still developing.

With the depth of the draft crop this year, there was always going to be some super good but unlucky players to be delisted from clubs
Jack Carroll is one of them
There were times this year where I watched him and thought "Gee he looks good. I hope we don't live to regret taking Allison over him"
That's not something I do very often - probably doesn't mean anything but it suits the narrative
Hopefully he lives up to his potential because he has a lot of attributes that our current midfield lack - ball use, class, athleticism. Another thing he is really good at is lifting the ball above his head to free his hands to step around opponents - extremely useful when it comes to modern-day zone defence to keep the ball going forward
