Half time in Gosford.

Central Coast Mariners 2 vs Brisbane Roar 2

Goal at 3 min Isabella Coco Di Sipio opened the scoring for CCM

A dominant 15 min for Brisbane Roar with goals from Grace Kuilamu in the 13th minute and Sharn Freier in the 18th minute header in off the side goal frame.

Grace Kuilamu subbed at 28min with a serious injury, hopefully not an ACL for the Young Matilda who has also been capped once for the senior Matildas.

10 minutes of first half stoppage time played and in the 54 min Annalise Rasmussen headed back in a strange goal initially defended off the line after the Brisbane Centre Back took her own goalkeeper out of the contest from a long high ball.

55 min 2nd half. Annalise Rasmussen putting Central Coast Mariners back in front 3-2 over Brisbane Roar.

7 goals in 9 games for Rasmussen. Close to offside. Isabel Gomez with the assist. Gomez treading a fine line with tackles having received a yellow card early in the 2nd half.

Central Coast Mariners 3 - Brisbane Roar 2 FULL TIME.

Central Coast Mariners, after conceding 3 stoppage time goals on Saturday against Melbourne Victory had to do a lot of defending in the last 20-30 minutes but hung on to win against a much fresher Brisbane Roar.

The win takes Central Coast Mariners to 3rd place on the table with 3 wins and 2 draws from their last 5 but pending the results from teams with games in hand.

Hard to gauge the merit of ladder positions at the moment with some teams in the Top 6 having played 3 and 4 more games than other teams through postponements and Asian League Cup matches. As the season goes into the New year the fixtures for those teams with catch up games tend to be crammed into mid-week timeslots which affect performance as some squads start to reveal shallow depth.

Central Coast players in todays game looked very tired backing up from Saturday against a Brisbane Roar team whose last A League game was on Dec 13, however a couple of in-game injuries to striker Grace Kuilamu and midfielder Zara Kruger mitigated some Brisbane's potential advantage of having fresher legs in the 2nd half.

Half time in the first match of Rd 11.

Western Sydney Wanders 0 - Canberra United 1

So so game. Not much of a goal scored in the 9th minuted from a corner. Almost a free header (chested down in the end) to Liz Anton, not a connection with any venom towards the goal but WSW goal keeper Sham Khamis was trapped in the wrong position to see the ball go through two players. Canberra's Sienna Dale letting it bounce through her legs and Amy Chessari (WSW) behind her not touching it either.

There's been a couple of other chances. A well hit Michelle Heyman volley needed a diving save from Sham Khamis and a wayward shot from WSW Ena Harada was deflected back on target and needed a save near the post by Canberra GK Sally James. Just before the half time whistle a clear pathway to shoot at goal opened up after a corner where the ball came out for WSW's Alana Cerne but she put it way over the top.

WSW often expect to much with passes forward and give the ball up too easily. Canberra continually cutting them off and with the advantage of pace around the field play a simpler cleaner style down the flanks and with crosses that bring their strikers into play.

68min WSW Danika Matos hitting the side bar from a curled shot from about 20m. Earlier Canberra with a clear just after half time from Emma Hawkins with only the keeper to beat, from an angle hit it wide of the far post.

70min WSW have equalized. Not sure where the Canberra defence was. Milly Bennett - One of 3 subs made by WSW just minutes earlier was left all alone at the top of the box. Someone must have been keeping her onside.

Western Sydney Wanderers 1 - Canberra United 1

1-1 draw between WSW vs Canbera in a bottom vs top clash.

Quite impressed by the skill of Talia Younis today, 17yo Junior & Young Matilda who played a full game for WSW.

2 goals in 2 minutes Brisbane Roar 1 vs Wellington Phoenix 1

14 min in the Brisbane Roar vs Wellington Phoenix game and the visitors had taken the lead through a turnover and a speculative long shot from Manaia Elliot that caught the Brisbane keeper Chloe Lincoln off guard bouncing in off the inside of the post.
16th minute and Brisbane Roar equalized via a run by Sharn Freier to Ashlyn Miller 22yo American struck it home

Very late equaliser. 98th minute goal to Brooke Nunn levels the score. A long attempted cross ball from the right side of the pitch has floated into the top corner with GK Chloe Lincoln unable to touch it. Lincoln, the senior Matildas No3 goalkeeper made a couple of decent saves in this game but was quite poor on both of Wellington's goals.

Brisbane Roar 2 - Wellington Phoenix 2.

FULL TIME SCORE.

HALF TIME in the 3rd of 3 Saturday Matches between Perth Glory and Newcastle Jets.

Perth Glory 1 vs Newcastle Jets 0.

Perth captain Isabel Dalton scoring in the 8th minute.

1-0 win to Perth Glory at home over Newcastle Jets.

Perth Glory are currently in 5th position on the ladder with 4 wins and 5 losses so far - the only team not to have a drawn game this season. They have won 3 out of their last 4.

Both Sunday games 0-0 at the moment.

Half-time in Adelaide. Adelaide United 0 - Central Coast Mariners 0
Central Coast have looked the more creative team with scoring attacks and shots (touches in the opposition box 13-4 in CCM favour).

Still about 10 minutes till half time in the Melbourne City vs Sydney FC game.
Holly McNamara came close at 15min with a shot that hit the underside of the crossbar.

Now it's half-time which came seconds after Sydney FC's Hana Lowry went top right corner with power on her trusty left foot requiring a quality save by Malina Mieres to launch and tip it over the bar

Adelaide United 0 - Central Coast Mariner 0
Melbourne City 0 - Sydney FC 0.

Emily Condon putting Adelaide ahead 2 min into the 2nd half. Initially a good diving low save by Annalee Grove from a shot by Erin Healy but Adelaide got a 2nd chance with the ball deflected wide to be put back into the box. Goal keeper was back on her feet but standing static at the corner post and couldn't contest a 2nd time.

Isabel Gomez on another yellow card for CCM. Ref has missed the first infringement in the last two fouls against her. Player that always plays on the edge and tackles strongly will have to be cautious for the remainder of the match - or might need to be subbed. Adelaide United as the match went deeper into the 2nd half started to sustain those periods where they were able to mount dangerous attacks to the point where they looked like the better team.

Adelaide United 1 - Central Coast Mariners 0
Melbourne City 1 - Sydney FC 0

52 min Chinaza Uchendu has put Melbourne City ahead. Just stronger in the box and got enough of a shot away while standing up against the defender to get it wide of the Sydney GK. First goal in the A League Women for the Nigerian International.

68min in the Melbourne City vs Sydney FC game and another shot that hits the post from Holly McNamara - this time a volley into the side post.

Shocking lunging tackle into the shins of CCM's Annabel Martin from Adelaide's Adriana Taranto who was already on a yellow. Adelaide should have been down to 10 players just before stoppage time.

Adelaide finish 1-0 winners over Central Coast Mariners after 5 minutes of stoppage time.

FULL TIME
Adelaide United 1 - Central Coast Mariners 0
Melbourne City 1 - Sydney FC 0

Sydney FC without a goal in their last 4 games. 5 scored and 12 against in 8 games sitting in 2nd last place, but as bad as that form seems a win in the next game could see them inside the Top 6.
