Pretty piss poor communication from the club relating to talking about draft selection ect.

Personally I’m more than happy with the player descriptions, the video and a few words from O’Bree. I’m mean they. Old peel out the usual crap and tell us they could not believe they were still on the board at our pick but I think we all release by now that those words mean sfa when it comes to their eventual performance.

To say I’m really ****ing disappointed we took Saxena over McGuane is an understatement.

I think in 5 years we’ll be looking back and wondering wtf the club were thinking.

The way I read it.

We had Sexena potentially as a pre select Cat B.
Which we did.

But having a full Cat B list he had to be put on the Cat A list.

Our list is now full!

We aren’t alone in thinking Mcguane isn’t quite ready for AFL footy.

Maybe he can be over time but right now …something is a little off as to why he has been overlooked completely by all.

I think it’s his speed/agility combination

For a small player, you need to at least be fast or explosive to succeed at the top level

I can see Greeves thriving at the hawks.

Given his niggle and exuberance he’ll also adopt that Hokball personality and opposition fans will hate him
They overlooked him 4 times in national draft and this is even despite trying to get him NGA tied before the season started too…

So there has to be some doubts over him …

However, he’s on a list now so it’s up to him to make the grade

I can understand why we went with Saxena over McGuane.

We loaded up on midfielders we rated much more highly than McGuane so we went with someone who may have a lot more improvement to come and who is not another midfielder.

I still think we need to find a key backman.

I’d agree, but he has gone undrafted so it’s hard to argue.

If he has a big year next year, do we still have rights to him?
Yes, although there’s the danger that he’ll be picked up in the MSD by another club if he nominates

The Collingwood press release has him listed as a cat B selection.
Pretty sure it’s wrong. If we had listed him as cat B we’d have still had a cat A list spot available, and given we didn’t have a pick in the rookie draft to even pass on it’s pretty certain that Saxena has been selected as a cat A rookie.

He is fast, clocked a 2.8ish second 20m sprint at the vic combine.
