100% they have their draft order, what do you think would change their minds from now until draft?
people act like the club changes preferences every single day, rediculous.
I think an offer too good to refuse would change their ranking due to where the picks fall is the main thing
But also believe there will be a lot of interviewing and research being done on their main targets now just to make sure if they have 2-3 players that are almost level in the rankings. But the majority of the work would be done

* Players around the #25-#35 range would now be getting scrutinized deeper as that was not a pick we were expecting to have

If Richmond did this would you accept it or wonder what is going on?
Yeah probably not as i think there's one player short there for me to do it. If you were confident 2 of cumming Taylor grlj would be there its a consideration i guess, i one of them will be there as you'd be relying on essendon to probably take another player not named above.

How about a '3-way' pick trade?

If WC take Duursma and Sharp, then CDT and Robey are next - do we want them?
I want Robey but is he the best fit?
If not.....
Tigers - out - 3, 4 & 38
Bombers - out - 5, 6 & 21
Demons - out - 7, 8
Tigers - in - 5,6,7 &21 = Cumming, X Taylor, Grlj & NHH/Barker etc
Bombers In - 3, 8 = CDT & Schubert
Demons In - 4 & 38 = Robey & ?
Tigers gain ~1300 points Bombers lose 550 and Demons 750 (all will slide/devalue as they drop back 3-4 picks due to bidding)
how does this look points wise assuming Uwland, Patterson, Annable and Dean are bid on by west coast or us (pick 3) and our picks become 7&8.

Taylor represents the best of all possible worlds. He addresses a need and isn’t a speculative reach. And because he addresses a need he allows us the luxury of selecting the most likely best open pool talent available in Robey.

If we could somehow swing it and get Emmett with our third to start dealing with life after Nank it would be the perfect draft.
If we do have real interest in Taylor then surely we bid on Dean with pick#3 then
He is seen as the best defender and 10 months younger as well as 2-3cm taller and plays similar game/position

On the proviso Melbourne has such a mega h*rd-on for Robey. I'd have no problem with giving Pick 3 & 38 if Melb offered picks 7 & 8. it is dumb as dog doodoo for Melb to do, but if offered, I would have zero problem, from only my personal opinion, for Richmond to accept. Only something utterly ridiculously outlandish in our favour is where I would consider any sliding of picks from our current picks.

Under this scenario (and open pool, remove academy aligned players) I would then go Sharp @4, X Taylor @7 & Grlj @8 (assumption of Dursma CDT taken 1&2). Essendon could stuff that with their picks though

BTW, I want us to keep our picks and take Robey & Sharp (again if Dursma CDT are taken 1&2)
This did happen back in 2009

If we do have real interest in Taylor then surely we bid on Deam with pick#3 then
He is seen as the best defender and 10 months younger as well as 2-3cm taller and plays similar game/position
You've literally written this on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and now Thursday.

Essendon also being linked to XT though. He's not a reach at our picks.
Now is the time clubs start to give wrong info to sources to get the clubs behind to bite on a trade. Blair is a master of it and did it last year when we were strongly linked to Bo Allen late at pick 7 which was clearly BS
