SSP rookie rather than going to the rookie draft? We don't even have enough list spots to take another DFA![]()
DFAs have to go on the senior list. We've got max 4 senior spots.SSP rookie rather than going to the rookie draft?
I think fair chance people just use DFA as a loose term for adding a guy thats been delisted to a list tbh.DFAs have to go on the senior list. We've got max 4 senior spots.
Currently 3 x picks + Kellaway, so unless we trade some picks or they're certain a Kellaway bid is coming before pick 38, it can't happen.

Naah, may as well play Ross alongside Hopper/Taranto, not overly excited by this prospect, but heās on the list. Then you rotate this years and last years draftees through with the occasional appearance from meatball.I donāt mind Setterfield for nothing especially if weāre possibly gonna lose Prestia.
Faaark I hope if we go down that path it's HollandsI think fair chance people just use DFA as a loose term for adding a guy thats been delisted to a list tbh.
Why dont we ever have a crack at these Irish stars? Way more chance of making it than a 23+ year old basketballer.

Jamie oreilleyAlways wondered the same thing. Have we ever had an Irish player? Bit like how Collingwood was allergic to indigenous players up until this century.

Itās because of the racists in our supporter base like tigs2010 and Meteoric Rise who hate the Irish and good strong names like Finbar.

Maybe they like hoisin sauce but one parent pronounces the H as "aitch" and the other "haitch" and they decided to save decades of argumentsJust imagine the parental brainstorming session that has to take place to come up with Oisin as a name for a boy. You cannot do that without the assistance of certain psychedelic substances unless you are starting from the unfair creative advantage of being completely insane.
Everyone used to just be called Patrick or Sean with the odd Ethan or something. Now they have names that aren't even names. Bono's parents have a lot to answer for, I can tell you that for nothing and you'll not be telling me otherwise.![]()

Essendon and Melbourne keen on Sam Cummings
Melbourne might be keen to trade up for pick 4 to get him...
4 for 7 & Suns F1 would be ok if it really is Grlj we want. That could be good for us. Give them 4 for 7 and a future pick and still get Grlj.

brett o'hanlon, who's wikipedia still says currently playing for Richmond. (technically not drafted from Ireland like Heslin and O'Reilly though)Johnny Heslin

Itās no secret that the Tigers are still in the early stages of their rebuilding journey, and theyāre unlikely to make a return to the premiership window for another three or four years at minimum.
However, theyāve arguably already locked down seven long-term senior players to fill the void left by their premiership dynasty after last Novemberās historic draft haul.
Sam Lalor and Josh Smillie will be star on-ballers for the foreseeable future, Taj Hotton has all the traits to be a centre-forward weapon, while Jonty Faull, Tom Sims and Harry Armstrong give the club a bevy of tantalising tall forward options for the post-Tom Lynch era.
And then thereās the versatile Luke Trainor, who played the most AFL games of any of those names this year and earned a Rising Star nomination.
And after two wins in his baptism-of-fire first year in charge, senior coach Adem Yze led Richmond to five wins this season in a year where many pondered if the club would go winless.
Stacking wins wonāt come next season, but a return to prominence doesnāt seem as far away as some might think.
