About as much midfield scope as Ben Miller
I am very happy just cynicalHow can you exist like this? Can you not focus on something in your life that brings you happiness instead of shitting on things? I honestly feel really sorry for you. I hope things improve in your world and you can find some peace.
"Hey, Sharp. What's your biggest weakness?"The club has to be seriously considering sharp
This snippet from the article below describes the need we have now and into the future…Is a leader and a footy nut that continually wants to get better
While still winning plenty of contested ball and maintaining his elite clearance numbers, Sharp's endless thirst to improve has also seen him take South Australia's feedback on board and become one of the draft's best transition runners and one of its most dangerous forward-half onballers.

'Don't stop': Midfield jet adds new string to his bow to light up draft year
South Australian prospect Dyson Sharp is one of the best pure midfielders in the draftwww.afl.com.au
We surely go Robey Sharp as our 2 picks ( unless CDT is available…then we lose one)
There are no elite AFL mids in this draft. None, zero. That's a major reason it's considered such a weak draft. How so?
We need mids with speed and skill don’t we?
How is a half back interceptor that?
Sure he has potential to go mid later maybe but there are elite mids available at our pick so I don’t see how Xavier Taylor is an obvious pick for us???

X Taylor is not my first choice but I do not understand the angst some have about drafting him. He reads the play superbly and is probably the most hard at the contest of any player in this draft. In a year where there appears to be a distinct lack of star type midfielders it makes some sense to go for a player like him.Reckon that's why we have cooled on Grlj. We know we will be taking Taylor so want a pure solid mid.
Taylor is locked in IMO
Our midfield for the next 3 years at a minimum will be made up of Taranto, Hopper, Ross, Lalor, Smillie, Hotton, Mcauliffe and one of our top picks. But the midfield is waaaayyy the more immediate need. It has less depth and is a much weaker line.
The backline is settled and our strongest line by far. Without Broad and Vlastuin we have Miller Balta Gibcus plus Trainor Banks and Brown all young. Gibcus Brown and Trainor already play Taylors game.
The midfield we need rotational depth.
At the same time we have stuff all established midfield depth with Prestia to retire in 1 year, Hopper turning 29 in Feb and Taranto 28yo in Jan.
Without those three we are relying on guys with 1 year experience plus C Graders like Ross.
We simply have to bring in the depth in the mids IMHO.

And if our recruiters think this year's mids are trash? We could look to trade into next year if we rate them higher and pick players who are good in their position, that next year lacks (X for example)But the midfield is waaaayyy the more immediate need. It has less depth and is a much weaker line.

Yes! Finally someone who sees why we could pick X Taylor over a number of midfielders in this draft. They appear to be an ordinary lot."Hey, Sharp. What's your biggest weakness?"
"I'm a perfectionist. I work too hard. If there's anything I'm not awesome at I work too hard until I am awesome at it."

Everyone parrots "best available" then next breath says "we have to take mids".
Give me an elite flanker over a B-grade mid.
Is that male or female
That is the dream IMODo we just go both Sharp and Robey?? I know there's concerns around our pace, but they will be the best two available and both seem impossible to pass up (I'm expecting CDT to go at 2).
Eagles leaning towards CDT at 1 accordingly to Cleary on MMM run home I was told.
Imagine Duursma gets to us at 3..
In fairness, Richmond are really keeping their cards close to their chest with this draftI do enjoy how clueless Cal Twomey is about our plans every time he speaks.
And last draft. And just in general. In fairness, Richmond are really keeping their cards close to their chest with this draft
not the sharpest tool then
If this is the case then I’m all for picking Taylor"Hey, Sharp. What's your biggest weakness?"

It's been touted for months that we are super keen, hardly any noise that we are even interested in Sharp. We spoke to Robey late. We as supporters can see we lack midfield depth but the club obviously sees our list differently.
You sure even you !! are guessing that isSharp barracks for Essendon. I think internally it wouldn’t be his first choice but he’s not gonna come out and say “Yeah I follow them but I sure as shit don’t wanna play for them”
I think a lot of the group have expressed us as a destination they’d love because of our young squad and knowing a lot of our guys.
Let it play out. Everyone is guessing atm. my source is internal but this is the draft to let information flow that will get people looking the other way. My info on Sharp and X was very strong and from what I have personally seen from our recruiting group. But I’m not as certain as I have been in other years. I still think the club want to get more picks into the future and are playing it that way.
Months seems very generous? We’ve been linked to Grlj way longer.
Don’t really get why speaking to Robey late means anything? It seems to be something bombers posters love to post. Circumstances of only having top 5 picks since June vs Robey not being consider top 5 til late September would be why we talked to him late.
