Just to clarify, Adam Simpson wasn't the one making the comparisons eg. Dylan Patterson is a Harris Andrew’s type. Simpson was having some fun by asking ChatGPT to make the comparison of this years projected top draft picks and those in the system. It was just a p1sstake.

Doesn't really fit the Crows either. Their midfield outside of Rankine is already slow af.

I really don't get the talk about Taylor being turned into a mid. He's played as a backman all his junior career and is excellent at playing that intercept mark role (that is critical to success in today's game).

And all of a sudden, he's going to be converted into a mid (at AFL level)??

He would be a great get for us given the age of both Vlaustin and Broad. He's not a mid though. I think you blokes need to think of him as a potential 250 game backman rather than someone we can miraculously turn into a wingman / mid.

Forgot that. But he basically said it’s a difficult trade because teams won’t know who’ll be at 9 (or whatever the pick becomes) when Carlton need to do a trade to match a dean bid.

Reckon they only move up if they really want CDT or Robey, it doesn't really impact us because we will just take the one they don't.

Eagles fans will be praying they move up for pick 5 & 6 because they would prefer more pure mids. I personally don't think a trade up will happen and Eagles will pick CDT because he is so highly rated and will be too much to ignore.

The big one will be Carlton, reckon their pick 9 will be highly sort after if a Dean bid doesn't come early enough. Some teams may feel they are still a chance to get Sharp at that pick.

Sure he has potential to go mid later maybe but there are elite mids available at our pick so I don’t see how Xavier Taylor is an obvious pick for us???

I have changed and am happy with potential of Robey & Taylor at our picks. Taylor I feel will be blooded as an outside mid/wing and if not generating results, he easily slots back when Broad goes. Risk yes but wing he could get immediate exposure next year.

Also as much as I hate it, i could accept a radical slide back proposal and give Essendon our picks 3 & 4, if they are utterly dumb desperate. We get back 5 & 6 & 27 & 30 (would be sooo dumb by bombers). We could then give GC 27,30 and 38 for their pick 15 (they get 150-200 extra points than what 15 is worth, 15 is good for us better than those later picks).
Could end in scenario of Cumming, Taylor and maybe a sliding Grlj or a Farrow (fingers crossed but doubt grlj slides to 15). I much prefer we use 3&4

Why on earth would Richmond slide back in a Shallow draft doesn't make any sense.

People are posting trading scenarios for the sake of trading.

i reckon we might see him as a wingman. has every tool to be a gun in that role.
