provide one valid reason
I'll provide 12 valid reasons of the top of my head.

I present to you the 12 days of Chitmas

1. He doesn't fit an immediate need moreso than our midfield.
2. We already have tallish half backs in Trainor and Brown.
3. We already have intercepting defenders.
4. Midfielders in Robey and Sharp are generally higher rated.
4. We need wingers moreso than another half back.
5. His kicking is questionable.
6. The polls on here confirm the people prefer us to take other players.
7. If absolutely necessary, we can draft his type with later picks in future drafts.
8. We need to get games into new midfielders asap to build our engine room.
9. Our defence is our stongest line and doesnt need reinforcing.
10. Groupie said youll never here the end of it if we pick him.
11. You don't take backmen at pick 4.
12. If he didn't barrack for Richmond we wouldn't even be talking about him as an option and people wouldn't want at him.

This is speculative but is there a chance Robey could shoot up a few more cms like whats happened to Smillie and he ends up being a second tall forward at AFL level?

He is on the younger side of his draft year and has previously had a massive growth spurt.
Based on plate scans he had, he estimated he’d get to 194cm approx

13 Outside of Vlausten, we’ve either traded for rebuilding defenders or recruited mid to small defenders with late picks in the draft or acquired them through the rookie draft.

That is genuine KPF size, especially the way he launches at the ball.

If we take him, with Smillie also, I think one would have to move to the wing or play HFF. Couldnt have 2 giants in there IMO.

Faull , Armstrong & Robey in the foward line swapping with Lalor
That is a scary thought for defenders

Lalor , Smillie , Robey , McAuliffe , Cumming ,Campbell , Hotton in the midfield also has a nice look to it

My knocks on Robey, is based on the small amount of vision I’ve watched, is that he’s not agile or explosive when in the contest, he hasn’t got blistering pace and he doesn’t seem terribly athletic.

I remember thinking when watching some clips, is that Robey is really good at breaking clear at the front of the stoppage when the ball is moving forward, but tended to struggle when the play was static and he had to transition the footy out of congestion, to win the contest.

It can be said that he’s a strong mark, makes good decisions with ball in hand when he has time and has a nice kick.

If the club selects him at either 3 or 4 I’ll trust their judgement, but at this point I prefer Cumming & Sharp.

and all of this. Especially the last point.
People need to ask themselves whether they'd actually want to take him at pick 3 or 4 if he wasn't a mad Tigers supporter knowing our current list structure.

_RT_ did I send wrong link or is this tweet drunk?

_RT_ has let us down.

Can our new hero toenail63 get the job done first.

Piastri v Norris who can get this article to us first. Only fail in the analogy is RT is only handicapped by his own ineptness (or mine for sending the wrong article) rather than his team. 😁

Maybe the mail on pairing the two SA boys is correct but dependent on what Essendon and Richmond are specifically working towards which is yet to play out.

If Essendon have been trying to get our pick 3 for Robey, and we have told them to pee off unless we get 2 first rounders, Essendon rightly won't trade 5 and 6 but instead then get Carltons pick 9 as reported and trade it with pick 5 for our 3 (as envisaged).

With Robey taken by Essendon at 3, and us originally going to take Robey and Grlj at 3 and 4, we then take Sharp and Cumming at 4 and 5 in Robeys place and Grlj slips to 9 where we also take him.

Ins;-
Sharp
Cumming
Grlj
Pickett
Kellaway.
Dream outcome, but sadly unlikely imo

I’ve got Smillie on the wing.

Robey could do mid / hf at that side.

Imagine the options we have though!

I thought Robey seemed terrifically mobile for a player of his height and agile, but a lot of the motions in the highlights were similar so how small was the the sample size??

Yeah saw that and turned your video off
