heck, I hope they do take CDT, cant see it myself, but would be amazing if they left one of Sharp or Dursma for us.
How does GC get the points in this scenario? I've tried to find a way, but can't.

I love how everyone is trying to say that it's not currently compromising the draft because it's only one player here or there but then rattle off half a dozen names in the process.
I'm sorry but there isn't no ideal time to do it, so they might as well rip the band aid off now. Also, if a kid is so adamant to play for the club his dad did there is nothing stopping them from requesting a trade when the first contract ends. At least that way the teams are forced into a trade.

The fairest way to get the value right is to trade for a pick to draft them. If you've got a top 2 talent trade for pick 1 or 2.
Top 10 should be pure. No academy, no father son, no free agent compo.

Agree with this to an extent, the FA compo is a great suggestion. No academy also, but Father son, I think they need to keep it albeit altered regardless of top 10 or not.

How much quicker would Norf have rebuilt if they had access to the top prospects.
Although 2020 they probably burn a pick on JUH assuming Adelaide really wanted Thilthorpe.
2021 they grab Daicos/Darcy, then Sheezel & WAshcroft, McKercher & Walter & possibly LAshcroft. Admittedly they would have climbed faster and not had access to all those

It's better but Brisbane getting Levi for pick 18 & pick 15? Still doesn't add up. No one is trading pick 5 for those 2 picks not to mention he probably goes earlier if available. At least they'd be prevented from grabbing Annable without trading a good player out.
Yeah that’s what I reckon. Or at least have a pick within 2 or 3 selections to match not 48 junk picks.

Can add to it too. If it wasn't a thing Collingwood wouldn't have traded their F1 in the Daicos draft and it ended up pick 2. Norf could have forced a trade to swap 1 and 2 for an additional pick or player from Collingwood.
Extremely rare for the best team to also have one of the best kids available as father-son though? Lions have just been kissed on the dick (twice!). That wouldn't be rorting the system either, it'd just be flat out luck. Might never happen again. And still 2 x R1s is a hell of a lot more than what they ended up giving up.
If this were Richmond with top 3 father-sons, Kane Cornes would have written an article on how unfair it is for the reigning premier. AFL must do something to stop this, giving an unfair advantage.

Might be rare but its also the scenario that has kicked up such a fuss. If Carlton finish 12th or 13th and pick up Walker no one really gives that much of a shit. Brisbane finishing top 4/winning flags and getting 3 top 4 talents is ridiculous.

I won't lie to you, there are a few issues with this one. The broadcast was a bit of a mess, we lost large chunks of the opening quarter and the second half has no sound. Also, this was clearly Lindsay's worst performance of the season, his kicking way off all game.
