CDT left one of his best performances to last, showing us some of the things we'd been hoping to see from him all year to justify his lofty status in this draft pool. This was by far his best marking performance, especially when you consider the conditions making the ball slippery. He played forward for more than 50% game time, something that I'd been crying out for at this level, and he was fantastic inside F50, doing everything apart from slotting the shots that he created for himself, ending up with 2 goals 5 behinds. This kind of forward line performance makes drafting CDT a significantly less risky proposition, given his 200cm height makes him very much on the short side for a ruck.

Edit: not actually his last game for the season, apologies for the confusion

Robey has all the attributes you're looking for in a top 5 pick, but doesn't yet have the body of work, is there enough time for him to push up into the top 5 or in a draft that is lacking standout players do you just take the risk and get in early?
This is what having two early picks allows us to do. We can take a "safe" player and then swing for the fences if we want because the pressure isn't there. At least in my mind it isn't.

We got that 2nd pick with Smill for Rioli and a 2nd rounder. Swing as hard as we like lol

Alright seen enough… I want him like I did with Lalor

Absolute natural high IQ footballer… obviously athletic, fast and skillful but it’s his decision making that stands out for me.

Takes best option every time. Look at his handballs and positioning backing out of congestion to receive the ball. Shows he reads the play so well

Jet
I have not seen this vision yet but will it match the beat up? lol

this is where it is fun looking at the comments before seeing these actual highlights:D

I must admit the previous vision I was wondering was he number 8 or 11, it was a little confusing for me

We could do something wild and draft Robey and Dalton.

This also goes back to my thoughts of turning our top 2 picks into 4 picks in the top 15. This draft is all over the place so unless there is a clear gun we want up top, we should trade back and get extra first round picks.

for me this the best CDT has looked, probably good sign for his development

he looked relatively light on his feet for that type and his hands seem quite good

This is why it would be awesome to trade dow and sonsie for 2 x 3rd round picks
To pick up players like Dalton--
Maybe oskar Taylor -- tom evans
What for? .... to pump 30-50 games into them to realize that they ain't going to be any better than Dow or Sonsie

I don't rate anyone in this draft ... when a Duursma is ranked #1 really do you need to look any further

Swing for a home run ... take speed and excitement... Robey and Grlj would be such a reach it would make Conca look like a safe bet ... but if it came off how smug would you be around the water cooler at work for the next decade

having a look at the stats from the last game against geelong , it paints a pretty clear picture that our forward line connection is ****ed. we won or broke even in most key stats but felt like we got a triple digit pounding. forward half efficiency is an absolute bomb. mids arent hitting forwards, forwards arent creating space for eachother or leading to dangerous spots, smalls arent at the fall of the ball and arent pressuring. the whole forward half is a shitshow. hoping the list management team are seeing this because it's been the case for a while now. newman needs to be shuffled on also.

He finishes the Cotes Final Series like he has started it might end up being more ballsy not to take him in this draft .... how many of these players would have gone in the first round in last year's group ... maybe 2 or 3 tbh
Need Eastern to keep winning so he gets to keep playing.

Newman needs to be retired because he has added bugger all to the forward line.

No wonder our forward line looks like a bunch of headless chickens running amok.
