Are you convinced on Caldwell because of the apparent Parish injury ??
Any under priced Premos any everyone’s radar ?? Dunkley is cheap. Current owners, what are your thoughts on his role ??
I'm pretty confident Caldwell will be one of the highest scoring mids for the last eight games, hence trying to get him in. For a little more could plonk Marshall in the flex position, he potentially could be the highest scoring player comp wide over the last eight.

I've had Dunkley for ages. Seems to be playing a more defensive role. Maybe a bit less ball too with Will Ashcroft & McCluggage getting more mid time. Good last game. I think he'll be ok, and the price is great, might not have the high ceiling scores though. He's definitely value.

Have burnt two trades and gone FOS to Mentha (basement def/fwd) and TDK to anyone I want, currently Caldwell.

Could go Grundy, Gawn, Gulden, NWM, Marshall etc but reckon Caldwell is the play.

Leaves 3 trades, 23 premos + McCarthy, and 250k to upgrade failures/injuries as needed. Probably burn one a luxury on Whitfield in a few weeks if nothing goes wrong. Fingers crossed the weak links (Bergman, Sinclair, Cerra, Warner, Sheezel, Xerri, Macrae, Jackson, JHF) can hold on.

I've gone Roberts to Rowston. Looked dodgy at quarter time, saved his score in the end. The way my rookie trade ins have gone lately, he'll probably be dropped next week.

Can go Butler to Macrae or Erasmus to Caldwell or Marshall. Give up a playing rookie to get the better upgrade? Or cull the non player. Macrae should be good still.

Other option, hold fire, see how the weekend plays out, trade Erasmus next week to virtually anyone. Think I might just do this. Maybe.......

Just as I'd made up my mind to save trades till next week, now Bailey Smith out. Maybe I should go Butler to Macrae afterall?

If I have to trade Caldwell out this week, the week after trading him in for a stinky score, not long after having the same thing with Walsh 😡

And Nasiah has just killed me all year. Every week I’ve faded bringing him in thinking ‘he’s too good, they’re going to start forward tagging him’, and each week, they don’t. Wild.

Anyone else have Jack Martin as their highest scoring forward this week but he's on the bench?

rd17: 2163pts (top 31%) :(
overall: 2,198th (top 30%)... up 20 spots
trades: 10

Rozee + Macrae + MartinJ + Daicos(c) + Anderson + Bont + Merrett = :thumbsu:
Roberts + TDK + Oliver =
not owning NWM = :cryv1:

Roberts and TDK are really worrying me now... they probably have to GTFO of my team this week
not sure who to buy yet, but Whitfield is on my shortlist... (probably best to pounce after his price drop though)
MartinJ saved the day in my fwd line... he's in my starting lineup, along with McCarthy(def)
NWM must be stopped !!
Oliver needs to lift !!

Anyone bringing in Gulden? I can afford to go Erasmus to Gulden with about 40K left. Or go Erasmus to Butters/Bont/Merrett with about 180/190K left. Just not sure how I'd get Gulden if I don't do it this week. Unless he gets tagged and drops a lot in price. It's more trade cost than price that is the problem however.

I could go Erasmus & Will Ashcroft to Butters & Bont, but as much as I want him gone, tempted to hold Ashcroft & the trade. Darcy to Macrae another option, but once again, holding trade may be more valuable.

Either way, Erasmus will be upgraded.

Most people who had him on the bench came onfield as the replacement for Smith. I actually had him onfield to start with hence I was pissed off that all my opponents ended up getting his 107.

I've been away the last couple of weeks. Glad to be back.
Although I'm currently ranked 142 I am now solely focused on my leagues. I've been blessed over the past few weeks where in round 15 my opponent, who was on top of the ladder, had Whitfield as his C. His concussed 46 guaranteed me an easy win. On Sunday, it looked like I would lose by 50 or so until my opponent suffered a pair of 46s from Serong and Clark. My match this week will determine who finishes on top of the ladder come end of season and like last week, I will need a bit of luck to go my way. With limited trades left, I will not be wasting one just for the sake of winning this week though.

I feel your pain #Skippos. Nothing worse than bringing in a premium only to have him injured that same week.
I'm feeling a little better over my "error" in bringing Merrett in instead of Caldwell in round 12. It cost me 79 points but Merrett will make that up next week with a likely 140+. Having said that, with definite tags coming his way in rounds 19, 21, 22 and 23 I feel he'll have to be traded out after this week.
In relation to Nasiah, he will cop the Jordon tag this week so I would not consider bringing him in this week. He totally relies on having the ball fed to him when he gets in the open. Jordon won't allow that.

Gulden could very well get the Windhager tag this week but I feel he is probably more likely to go to Heeney. If he doesn't cop a tag, expect 120 or so and increase by approx $30K. I certainly wouldn't go Merrett. As good as his match up is this week, he will cop heavy tags in 19,21,22 & 23.
What's your current rank?

My rank has blown out, 286 now. Primarily concentrating on my cash league. It's Gulden vs Butters in for me with Erasmus out. Butters gives me extra money to upgrade with, but feel Gulden could be a great POD in my leagues. Will still have Jack Martin & Tom McCarthy in my 23, but they're scoring as well as the likes of Darcy, Ashcroft, Cerra, Mills etc.

Could do with one more rookie who'll go up in price quickly. May last week would have been the go. Not sure about Shanahan from West Coast. Hope Butler might be back next week.

I went Shanahan. With Waterman and Allan out, I assume they just leave him in for the rest of the year.

Depends on how many trades are left. I only have 4 hence further cash generation is out of the question.
I currently have Martin as F6 and Davidson as F7. In all bar one of the remaining matches one of them plays early allowing me to put the E on him so it gives me a double chance. Both are capable of scoring an 80 or more so I am keeping both. Rankine is the forward who is likely to be upgraded.
The beauty of DT this year is having the flex, meaning you can afford one lousy score without it affecting your overall weekly score.
I'm Interested in your cash leagues. Do you run them? I run two - one with a $100 fee and another with a $50 entry fee.

I'm only in one cash league. I don't run it, it's just a work one that's organised by the same person each year, it's usually filled by the same people. We put in $60 each. If you are ever short any year in yours, let me know, I could probably join one other cash comp.

As for trades, have 9 before this week. Erasmus to whomever will leave 8, with Jack Martin F6 and McCarthy & Rowston looping at M8. Flex will be a premium.

Outside of Martin, McCarthy & Rowston....cash gen is rather thin. So think I need one more money maker. If I go Butters, could go Butler to Dewar from WCE. Inflated price, but low BE and had a decent role before injury. Who knows now. Wish I knew if Butler has any chance of returning to the seniors after his injury next week. Otherwise Shanahan looks best bet.

Johnson -> Stevens
Roberts -> Sinclair

keeping TDK (despite his lack of ruck opportunity lately)... cmon mate, just give me a 70+
Stevens becomes my new FLX player
would like a big game from Oliver

Keep it simple with Errol for Caldwell, use my last boost to bring in a flex around $1m as well or upgrade Daniel to Macrae?

Playing for league. 1 game clear on top. Conservative side of me says to save trades where possible as they've allowed me to win finals in the past.

That's a great team with 9 trades left. I have 9 left, but all of Jack Martin, McCarthy & Erasmus on field. Caldwell to Gulden seems a good move.

I've almost committed myself to going Erasmus to Gulden. I would like Macrae also, so tossing up whether to get Macrae first and somehow find money for Gulden next week - Cerra or Darcy out.

I'm trying to keep a boost for finals, just in case. In your position, I'd probably do the same. I'd do Daniel to Macrae though, that's a good upgrade and you have the trades in hand to do it. Your bench depth is unreal.

Might go Erasmus to Macrae now, and next week decide between Bont or Gulden for Kennedy. Can't keep Kennedy after that debacle. Will soon run out of trades at this rate.
I'm thinking I need a way to get Darcy to F7 and loop him if he goes off. Maybe Daniel to Macrae and Caldwell down to someone less expensive than Errol
