So because we can see we have great depth in the rucks but kool aide drinkers think SOS shits diamonds and can do no wrong, we are all idiots?
We have seen the development on NWM and his value rise, but when developing rucks are improving and developing at a rapid rate we just ignore that and bring in another middling ruckman on money 200k more than they are willing to offer NAZ?

I don’t think we should bring in TDK, I’ve never thought we should bring in TDK (at least on that money), but that doesn’t mean that the prevailing attitudes of this place don’t switch sides more times than a Survivor villain.

And yet, both sides - if that’s what there are - seem to claim some form of moral or knowledge superiority whenever someone disagrees with them.

You were the one coming in with insults because we have looked at the unfolding development and decided that the TDK offer is now totally inappropriate.

I have never been really happy with an offer to a good but not dominate ruckman, understood what they were trying to achieve, but conditions change. With the rise of NWM and the development of Heath, Keeler, and the absolute potential.of Dodson, as well as Marshall, it is absolute folly to offer that money when that position is looking one with the most depth wevhavechadvin decades.
So we look at that and decide that it is now a very poor offer and you think it is clever to call us idiots

If TDK comes I will support him as I do every Saints player, but I suppose us idiots will because we aren't as clever as others on here.

Players who are vague in interviews are typically gone. He's being super vague. Kind of avoiding the question, which is a tell. I just don't know how the trade gets done, unless another good player wants out of somewhere and there's a 3 way trade. But his interviews lately shows he's likely going to SA.

Keeler - showed some flashes and showed he is a fair way off physically still. At times almost not even competitive.

Heath - showed he can take a grab and kick a goal. Looks a decent third string ruck. Was about the equal of Treakle as an actual ruck. Personally I think the jury is still out.

Dodson - huge ceiling of potential. But is a baby and rucks need significant time.

Marshall - look way off his best throughout this season. Looked injured. Good today against a lesser opposition. Being the #2 ruck who plays forward could be a god send for his body.

Let’s not think we have this amazing ruck group as is. If Marshall went down for any length of time - we would be screwed.

Ruck craft is ordinary, a decent enough second ruck and relief forward. Don't know how good he would go against a team with a decent backline or good ruckle.
Xerri would have really have tested him.

In saying that I am happily surprised with his development this year as I thought he would never make an AFL game.

I mean, he didn't say "I'm waiting until the end of the season to make a decision", which is usually code for GONE. He specifically mentioned his manager and the club (singular).

Keep in mind also, he'd just played 2 hours of football. He probably wasn't running around Marvel thinking about what he'd say if he was asked about his contract post-game.

When she asked if he was getting close to a decision he did smirk and his answer did sound like they’re finalising the contract. I don’t see any negative signs in that interview.

Even in our 5 game losing streak we didn't drop our heads and could have won 3 of the 5.

If Nas is staying - it could only be that he is holding out for money which the club has offered plenty ($1.4M), for such a young player, that is very poor form.

With that said, I’m afraid that the only conclusion is Nas is leaving. I hope not, but that is the more plausible outcome right now.

We don’t have to like it, the only thing we can do is wait and if he does leave, extract the most value of his career best form.
