You don't need to give it all to unproven kids. Pay your veterans more, front end contracts, spread a bit across the whole list etc. It shouldn't be hard.

Matt Owies is the same age and goes at 1.17 Goals PG.

Going down the youth movement like we have, building a pretty promising core of under 25's and then going out and getting a GOP like Ryan is a peak 'that's so St.Kilda' thing

I think it's one of those things where stats don't show the full picture. He's a much higher impact player than Owies.

Think about it.

If you were an agent of any substance, you would know that his value is absolutely at its peak. Even if he wins the Brownlow this year, there is only so much you can realistically pay a single player and Nas will be on it.

Your client is obviously happy at the club, is supported at the club, has a core group of close mates and is revered by the fans and now even has the media absolute in love with him - a rare feat for any recent St.Kilda player.

He is the star of the show, if he goes to Adelaide - he has to fit in and establish himself among Dawson, Rankine, Thilthorpe etc

If he goes to Port he has to do the same with Rozee JHF, Butters etc.

Nas has wanted midfield time and now he's got it. He has the license to basically do whatever he pleases on the footy field with us, because he is our star. You don't necessarily get that if you move clubs.

On top of all this, if you want to discuss the home sickness... we're now talking about a multi millionaire. He can pay to have them come and stay out here, he can have them move over, he can go back and visit anytime he wants - You don't think the club would grant him time to go back home at different points in the season and skip a training here or there?

And above all, if you really cared for your client and not your own back pocket - you have your clients legacy piece. With the way Nas has played this year and consistently progressed across his career so far, he has a genuine shot at St.Kilda legend status - that's without even winning a flag.

If he wins the flag, image the legacy. It's not the same if he does that at Port or Adelaide.

The agent is just an ex reality tv FW.

That is absolutely not how it works.

It was only 12 months ago you were a fan of us landing Peatling.

Aleer will be the same age as Peatling moving clubs. Peatling was also stuck behind very good players.

This is just what happens at clubs with gun players and depth. Players just don’t get a crack at it.

Barring injury - it’s likely Aleer is playing in the Giants first final. He is evidently rated by a side better than us.

Peatling was playing elite VFL footy and backing it up when he made the senior side. Aleer looks like project tall that is already mid 20s. He might end up a star but right now he's probably below average.

So others close to the club are suggesting that NAS has not signed and it isn't imminent.

My source isn't iron clad but has known bits and peices along the way and hasn't been far off.

Club wanted to do 10 years but the agent only wants 2
Much more could of and should have been done sooner by the saints.
