When we paid Billings, Hill, Howard etc like superstars. Paying to keep your one genuine superstar in 20 years is good business.

They said we never had a A grader , anyway pay what they want - because we need him

SOS is the only reason we are linked to Aleer who is not a list need.

I am not passing judgement on Aleer specifically. But to say big defenders is not a major list need is wildly off base.

Caminiti: Played one season down back, and has been poor in as many games as he has been good
Howard: 30 next year and cant get on the park
Tauru: Looks good. But been around 5 minutes and is just as likely to be a forward
Cordy: Almost certainly delisted
Barratt: Hasn't played a game
Schoenmaker: Looks like Tarzan but plays like Jane. If he makes it, its not as a key back

We are a Wilkie knee injury from being stuck up s**t creek. Big defender is very much a list need. Whether that player is Aleer, that is another question entirely. But we need to find one somewhere

Does anyone find it odd we haven’t made the announcement of Max Halls apparent signing?
Or that we are moving in on a long term deal for Philippou? Yet no announcement SO late in the season?
I reckon the saints are planning a big announcement along the lines of…
“Here is your future, here is the belief in that future”
Nas, Windy, Hall and Philipou all signed in a big announcement

It's making me angry waiting. Just want to smash something.

It’s almost like the reverse of Ben Long who was far from an established best 22 player and was offered 4 years by Gold Coast.

A lot of people here are sooking we took the GWS approach with that negotiation.

Let’s hope Leek flourishes in our environment just as Ben has in the sunshine state.
