The main restriction is not who he is competing with, it's his tiny size. He really is a midfielder more than a small forward, and you have to be crazy good to make it as an AFL midfielder at his size.

He has yet to really show any indications of being a good small forward at AFL or VFL level. That's not to say he couldn't be good, but he's not being groomed there in the VFL (1 goal in 7 games in 2025, all listed as starting wing/hb) and as such is an unknown quantity.

More likely he would be a smaller version of Switta than a gun goal kicker. Which might still be useful considering Switta's injury history and importance to the side.

But I doubt we can sell him on more opportunity, as I wouldn't have him in our best 23 at full strength. He'd be competing with Dudley to fill an injury vacancy.
Isn’t he Tasmanian as well? Or I am confused with someone else.

Edit, ignore me, who’s the tassie player im thinking of?

Edit 2: McKercher from the same draft went to Roos at pick 2

Reidy has no follow up game, which wouldn't be a problem if he also didn't mostly tap it to his feet. Granted he could just be trying to block space to allow his midfielders to swoop in and clear it but he all to often watches his direct opponent go win the ball at AFL level.

People on social media reacting as expected:

"Next Meek"

"We got screwed"

"Should have kept Reidy and traded Darcy"

I genuinely don't understand these people's thought process.
Doubt these people actually know much about footy especially the players outside the team that plays each week.

Their process doesn't matter. Neither does mine for that matter but I've seen enough of Reidy at Peel to know he isn't the next Meek. At best he's the next Tom Campbell but in reality he's probably more like Scott Jones except was given a second opportunity. Reckon he's delisted end of yhe contract he's just signed.

Walls believes a 2nd round pick is the correct price for Judd McVee

You can here the audio from 30 minute mark.

Sounds like a pick shuffle to upgrade our 2nd round pick is likely.

Yet trying to tie Port’s pick 28 in the Brodie deal gets laughed at…

There’s easily a world where we do Brodie, 33 and 44 for 28 and say 66

It’s practically paying Port to take him off our hands.

Anyway, enough speculating from me.

Mannagh really should’ve been the one when we lost Schultz. We need a pressure forward and you’re more likely to get that from a mature age
I'm pretty sure we thought Mannagh was our man. Geelong weren't expected to pick him so early, and he's since come out and said we were chasing him the hardest.
Imagine if we had him and Bruce on our half forward line!

Twomey saying clubs are enquiring about Daicos.
I could ring up Collingwood's membership dept and ask about him and they would report it as club enquiring.
They're really struggling for content right now. 😂

Also imagine if we hadn't given away a future first for an out of contract Jackson

Could've had Curtin as well.

It's fun to imagine.

And now I'm sad

No Chance he's going anywhere
I wouldn't be THAT strong. GC will cycle through players more than most because of the academy feeding talent. Its possible they want all their academy picks this year and are coming up short on points.

Humphrey is too good to let go for that, Rogers isnt.
