Even then it makes no sense. Regardless of the talent in this draft, one of the 17 other clubs will take a pick at 33 so it’s worth something to someone. If West Coast package up 33 & 52 and get hold of, for instance, Gold Coast F3, then I will spew.

This is taken from the AFL trade tracker. Where is Freo's Pick 33 in all of this? It was supposed to be going to WC, but as far as the above goes it appears it is not actually in the deal, and if that is the case then people can put the melts away.

EDIT: Then I clicked on the "read article" and it says WC is getting pick 33. So the reporting on this is all over the shop and unclear.

There will be clubs with lots of list spots who can carry bulk picks into the draft to allow an academy club to hide a first round pick.

But it's not us. I think GWS is in even worse shape for available list spots so I expect their two seconds might get traded for points for someone.
