Where would Hunter Holmes sit in the order? Might be worth us considering, we need transition running.

I have to see more of him, the one game I have seen him play he looked powerful but his ball use was atrocious. Supposedly that has improved considerably so I'm curious to see how he goes this year.

Yeah I watched him against Northern Knights I think it was and he's very raw but if he's anything like his brother then these transition running players are worth their weight in gold. Didn't get a good sense of his ball use, was more in the guts.

Yep plenty of options to trade in (F1) during trade week and/or up the order (R2's, R3, F2) into the 1st round on draft night, depending where the NGA and academy players rank for certain teams in terms of needing points.
But need to have enough points next year for F/S's, unless we think we can bring forward 2027 futures.

True, if you don’t count Curtis, Archer and Goater.

George, Goad, W Dawson, Hardeman, Whitlock are all just developing so I guess some of them might fail.

Well we may not even take them to the draft given the "we've got enough kids" comments, so we'll have to wait and see in trade week what we have left. I'm hoping we still take a few kids in this draft and/or a mature 3rd round VFL player.

I haven’t watched it yet but from all reports 3 of the best 4 players from todays academy game will end up at the two clubs sitting 1st and 2nd on the ladder….

Yes. There is no balance or equity. There is seemingly no oversight by the AFL, unless it’s to have the final say a month before draft night.

But I will say this: it does help the AFL conjure whatever narrative or scheme they want to push to increase interest and revenue in the game in far-flung soccer and rugby heart lands.
