Refs help? Err, no. Officiating that game was abysmal both sides of the ball. The zebra called the Eagles the Jets at one point 😂

You should check out the FivePointsVid video on the reffing in that game. Brutal!

It was certainly overall bad, for sure.
And I don’t blame the refs for any result.
However the 4th and 1 pick up call was simply unacceptable.
It’s field position, scoring, confidence for the defence, frustration etc.

If they blow forward progress on the tushpush then blow it deal at the first time it stops moving before the 2nd and 3rd surge then it becomes a less successful play. But that would require the refs to actually do something on the play, and its become clear they dont want to do anything on the play because its just too hard so refuse to call penalties or clear fumbles.

There are degrees, sure, but stuffups like not calling the fumble occur in nearly every game that I watch. Overall the standard of officiating is not good. But the officiating didnt decide that game whatsoever, Giants getting the ball there makes no difference.

It's an easy cop out for the league & pathetic for officials to have been pressured into going this route. Zebras had no problems calling it last season I seem to remember.

Yet they never called you for lining up offside.

If they refuse to officiate it it has to be banned. i was in the camp of just officiate it right with how the OL line up offsides almost every time.

They will ban it by banning the assisted pushing of players again. which would make it much easier for the refs with BS like forward progress stopping.

There has often (not always) been issues with lining up correctly on both sides of the ball so if you are going to call one you have to call the other. The league created this rod for their own back. It's utter nonsense that it is difficult to officate.

Anyway, it's almost run it's race. The Giants had it worked out the one time it was run & they had to run it 4 times to pick up a couple yards recently. Ban it & put Mailata in at fullback either leading the way or carrying, either works for me;)

people said it had run its race over how farcical it was in the playoffs vs Washington.

If they wanted to they could fix it by telling the refs to call offensive offsides as tight as possible and if there is a mm of the centers helmet over the football of the refs cant get a clear view of the ball and OL throw a flag. Yeah they could call it on the D too but like with PI/OPI will only call it one way thats how the league will want it.

the NFL killed Miami's "cheat motion" by telling the refs to call it tighter, the NFL also stopped letting hard counts get as many free plays by blowing them dead faster

Seriously did anyone watch him play on weekend his washed.

He's guaranteed 90million sit back and enjoy not being QB1 and getting banged up every week. He's got like 8 kids play in the backyard with them.

He won the lottery, getting paid a massive amount and doesn't even have to play all the time

Sam Bradford would be tipping his hat.
