Like I said during the week Brisbane hadn't lost the last 2 games due to lack of opportunity, they simply didn't take enough of them. That would turn and to much was being made of the losses by some in the media and a couple on here.

As it is if they were 6.11 tonight instead of 11.6 Geelong would have been right in the game still at 3/4 time.

That wouldn't have meant Brisbane hadn't played well in all other areas of the game.

Conversely I wouldn't be writing Geelong off on the back of one game either (as much as I'd love to).

Tonight just proves how up and down both Geelong and Brisbane are.

Right now neither are capable of performing at a high level for 3/4wks like you need to in September.

Very true, and I'm definitely not.
But Fagan has thrown into the public arena some excellent quality empirical evidence of how to negate Geelong's game style.

While the Geelong Football Club deserve praise the pregame love fest for them from the commentators was sickening. It was almost like every other side should just concede now as Geelong will be 2025 Premiers.

They're good but a belting of a seriously undermanned Essendon carried as much weight as the criticism of Brisbane who lost 2 games they could have justifiably won with greater accuracy. They weren't outplayed.

Watching him play the last couple of years has only reaffirmed what I've always thought - he's got a good set of hands and is a good shot at goal but outside of that he offers very little else. The word 'soft' comes to mind.

Yep this is a great result for us . Also shows Geelong are very beatable and we already know we can beat Brisbane .
